"We Wish You a Merry Christmas" is a traditional song sung by carolers seen in the Season One episode, "Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo".
Background
The song is sung at the beginning of the South Park Elementary Christmas play entitled South Park Elementary presents the Birth of Jesus. The third grade students re-enact scenes as well as recite verses out of The Gospel of Luke from the New Testament of the Bible. Sheila Broflovski comes in to interrupt the rehearsal to protest the play as too religious for a public school.
The boys sing this song at the beginning of the pre-South Park short, The Spirit of Christmas.
