He is one of the smarter boys who is a straight-A student.

He has another major role in [[Here Comes the Neighborhood]]. Where token is being teased by his friends for being rich. For example, he was teased by the kids of South Park for having a DVD, and was laughed at when he didn't know what a VHS was. Token then becomes sick of kids making fun of him, and is tired of being rich. When Token mentioned the word J-Mart, his mother became upset and cried. Token was happy going to J-Mart, and got some J-Mart clothes and wear them. The adults in the store gave odd glances at him and his family making Token very upset. He sang and told God to bring rich people to his town. Soon other rich people including [[Will Smith]], Operah Windfrey, and Snoop Dog and their families came to South Park. Token tries to play with them, suggesting a snowball fight. Instead the rich kids make fun of him,he responds "I don't fit in anywhere." Token then went to the Zoo and asked [[Aslan the Lion]] if he could stay at the Zoo . At the end, his friends told Token they were just ripping him off and told him they are gonna call him a pussy for now on.

Token and his parents

Originally known as Token Williams, he is the only minority (aside from Kevin) in the main characters' class and with the loss of Chef he and his family are the only African Americans in South Park. His name comes from the phrase "token minority," typically used to describe non-Caucasian persons thrown into small roles in TV shows and movies for the sole purpose of character diversity. Personality

Token is probably the only black kid in the neighborhood, He usually gets picked on everyone for him being black and being rich and all of the above. Token is also could stand up to himself if he had to. Mostly Cartman that rips on him for being black. In Here Comes the Neighborhood he was the only black kid in school and want to be the rest of the other kids in school. and really got upset and kids ripped on him for being rich. In Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000 he was making fun of Cartman and calling him a "fatass" in the sled. He was hit by a rock and was caused by a silly hate crime. Token's Dad was the one that agree on the Boys by getting Cartman out of jail and wouldn't do it because he is black. In Raisins (episode) he stole Stan's girlfriend away and Was the one that made Stan very jealous and upset. Token and Wendy was not seen after that. In the Coon episodes he was one of the Alter-Egos named Tupperware he was said that he had a car accident and was made of Tupperware parts. Token also loves to help other people like in the episode Free Willzyx he helped Kyle to save a whale. Token Black is a regular member of Craig Tucker's gang, and is most notable as being the only black child in South Park (other than guest characters). This might explain why the creators chose to change his surname, and also why his first name is Token. (In television and cinema, a "token black" is a black person amongst a crowd of white people to make the show seem diverse, ergo "token black".) His birthday is June 20th. He is one of the smarter boys and a straight-A student.

In early episode Token made his first appearance Cartman Gets an Anal Probe where he appears a s a background character. Token in early episodes was as an unnamed character However, his first name was mentioned by Mr. Garrison in his 3rd Grade class. His named was mentioned by him in the episode Gnomes.

He has had a Major role in Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000 where Token makes fun about his weight and says "Yeah! And with Cartman's enormously fat ass, the boys are sure to win!" and where Cartman says he will throw a rock at him and throw a rock at him. In the office, Token's right arm is in a sling and his right eye is blackened. However, Stan and Kyle came to Token's house and Kyle ask if he wanted the girls to win and However, Token didn't want the Girls to win so they went to the Govenor's office and tell that Eric Cartman should not go to jail because, hitting someone with a rock is not a hate crime law. However, at the end of the episode Token took Kenny's place and Token and all of them won the race.

He even had another Major role in Here Comes the Neighborhood Token friends was making of him for being rich However, Token was sick of kids making fun of them, and was sick of him being rich. However, when Token got the word J-Mart his mother was upset and crying. Token was happy of going to J-Mart and was getting some J-Mart clothes and was wearing them. And also, the Kids was making fun of him again about them not having a DVD Player, and ask the what's a VHS, and all the kids bursts out laughing. Token got really upset and was singing and told God to bring rich people to his town. However, the other rich people like Will Smith and his other kids came to South Park. Token ask them if they want to play a snowball fight. the rich kids makes fun of him and Token says "I don't fit in anywhere." Token went to the Zoo and ask Aslan the Lion if he could stay to Zoo but temporarily he learns something and left the Zoo. At the end His friends told Token that they were just ripping him off and told them they are gonna call him a pussy for now on.

In Christian Rock Hard Cartman told him to get the bass guitar he has, and Cartman however, keeps ripping him about him being black and he could play bass guitar and however, He was getting sick of him ripping him off. However, Token, Butters, and Cartman (The Leader) were in Faith + 1. At the end Cartman is pissed off of a Myrrh Album and can never win the bet again. Token beats up Cartman.

In Raisins Token is seen as Wendy's new boyfriend after she breaks up with Stan. At the end of the episode when Stan is over his "goth" phase, he flips Token off as he and Wendy walk by.

In With Apologies to Jesse Jackson Token is upset at Stan's dad of saying the N word in National Television However, he was angry at Stan of not getting it on what the N word is harmful of Black people. However, Stan keep saying that he gets it but Token won't accept on what he's saying. At the end Stan and Token were arguing about the N Word. Stan also said that he will never understand how Black people feels and Token says "Now you get it, Stan."

In Funnybot Tyler Perry makes a guest appearance as Madea for Jimmy's comedy awards, and Token is the only character shown laughing at his jokes. This suggests a stereotype that African Americans are the only group that finds Madea entertaining. Token's achille's heel is in paying "Madea" his loose change, at each punchline. At the end of the epiosde, Madea is buried alive underground by the United States Government, relieving Token's need to laugh and donate his change.

Friendship/Relationship

Best Friendship with Clyde Donovan

Token and Clyde gets along and are good friends. They usually talk to each other and they are both in Craig's group. Token and Clyde were seen talking in many episodes. They even talk to each other in lunch time with Craig. He's also have a good friendship with Craig. Even though Clyde was the one to ripped Token for being racist but all of them called him a pussy at the end.

In Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society Token and Clyde did most of the talking in that episode. Clyde says "hellafun" and Token agrees on Clyde and told him that he's gonna start saying it now. Clyde even ask Bebe that he had never seen Bebe before and Token agrees on him too saying that Bebe is cool but says she's a girl but could hang out with her which was that all they were thinking was her boobs.

Friendship with Craig Tucker

Token and Craig are good friends to each other and Token is usually seen in Craig's gang

Friendship/Conflict with Eric Cartman

It has shown a view times that Token shows a hate towards Cartman. Probably because Cartman is a racist and insults black people right in front of Token. In the episode Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000 Cartman throws a rock to Token because Token called him fat. ( but it was actually Kyle who said that). In the episode Here Comes the Neighborhood Cartman was together with some other guys insulting Token because he is rich.

But on the other hand, Token did agree to help Cartman with his Christian Rock band in Faith + 1, because being black Cartman believed he had a bass guitar they could use. Surprisingly he was right, and Token was even able to play it despite never picking up the instrument before (much to Token's annoyance however, as he assumed Cartman was just using a black stereotype).

Friendship with Stan Marsh

File:SPMEE14.jpg

Token with Stan and Kyle

Stan and Token are very good friends to each other and he talks with Stan in the lunch table at lunchtime. Although their friendship took a hit in Raisins when Token stole Wendy from Stan. In With Apologies to Jesse Jackson Token was very upset that Randy Marsh said the word "nigger" (uncensored) and Token got upset when Stan claimed to understand how black people feel when they hear the word "nigger." The feud is resolved by the end of the episode.

Relationship with Bebe Stevens

Bebe called Token as a midnight blue in Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset episode and she invited him in her party.

In Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society Token and Clyde starting on liking her and think she was cool, smart and awesome. However, Token and all the Boys was fighting for Bebe at this point, and all the Boys think she was cool and super awesome.

Friendship with Butters Stotch

Token and Butters are good friends and were in the Faith + 1 band and album. They also talk sometimes and sit together during lunchtime. Token kind of cares about Butters, in the episode Marjorine Butter's went to the slumber party and Token was there to make sure nothing happened to him. Token and Butters are considered very close friends.

Relationship with Lola

Token and Lola were paired in the Follow That Egg! episode and were given a brown egg by Ms. Garrison; a slightly racist jab at Token.

Relationship with Wendy Testaburger

In the episode "Raisins", he steals Wendy Testaburger from Stan Marsh (or she went for him). Stan flips him off because of that. However, it seems probable that their relationship was not as long-lived as Wendy's relationship with Stan, as they haven't been shown together again (he was also shown with other

714 image-12

Token and Wendy.

girls at the party in "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset").

Racism

Racism has often been a theme based around Token, such as in the episodes "Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000" and "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson". Since the demise of Chef, Token and his parents are the only African-American regular characters on the show, and perhaps the only African-Americans in the entire town.

Cartman is the most obvious source of racism towards Token. When Cartman decides to make a Christian Rock group, he immediately went to Token and demanded that Token get the bass guitar out of his basement. Token, offended, responded that he didn't own a bass and didn't know how to play it anyways. Cartman shoots back that because he's black he of course owns one and knows how to play it. Much to Token's annoyance, Cartman was right on both counts. Another incident of Cartman's racist behavior was when the boys were making a news show for CCTV, Cartman tells Token to change his voice for presenting because it sounded too black. Token does so, and takes on an overly pompous white stereotype voice. In "Free Willzyx", while the other boys have their faces camouflaged black, his is white. In "Imaginationland", his codename is Blacky. Of course there are times where Cartman does something inadvertently racist without the intent behind it, such as when he once threw a rock at Token because Token called him fat along with the other kids, it was classed as a hate crime.

In "Follow that Egg!", while working with Lola on the egg science project, he was given a brown egg while all the other couples got white eggs; and he understood what this meant giving Mrs. Garrison an annoyed expression. In the season eleven episode, "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson", Token felt offended by Stan's dad saying "niggers" as an answer on Wheel of Fortune. He eventually forgave Stan when he realized that he could never understand how it feels to hear the word from an African-American's viewpoint.

Also in the episode "Wing", when Cartman and the gang try to become Token's agents to get 10% of prize money from a talent show he was entering, Cartman stated, "Now you're probably wondering 'Hell, why do I need to give you guys ten percent?!'", in a stereotypical voice.

In "Free Willzyx ", when all of the boys where black face paint to blend into the background, Token has white face paint

In Funnybot Tyler Perry makes a guest appearance as Madea for Jimmy's comedy awards, and Token is the only character shown laughing at his jokes. This suggests a stereotype that African Americans are the only group that finds Madea entertaining.

Talents

Music

Token can play bass guitar quite well, as seen in the episode "Christian Rock Hard". However, he is annoyed by his talent, as Cartman tells him it is hereditary due to his ethnicity. He also has an excellent singing voice, as seen in the episode "Wing". He sang for the Ms. Colorado Beauty Pageant and won $200. He eventually lost his money when he hired an agent and wound up serving drinks at Sylvester Stallone's son's wedding.

Oddly enough, he also sang a ballad in "Here Comes the Neighborhood", but did not sound nearly as impressive as he does in "Wing". Cartman attributes both his talents to the fact that he is black.

Fighting

Near the end of the episode "Christian Rock Hard" Token rather easily beat up Cartman with two punches and a kick. This indicates that he is a decent fighter. But then again, Cartman started crying uncontrollably like a baby after Kyle punches him very lightly. Token also was a "vigilante" for a while, under the alias TupperWear. Although he is never actually seen fighting, he does, along with the rest of Coon & Friends, try to intervene when cultists corner Kenny. In Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society Token was seen fighting the other boys for Bebe which was they were fighting for Bebe's boobs at the end he said "Yeah, What the hell happen to us?"

Sports

Token is seen to be very good at sports playing on the dodgeball team in "Conjoined Fetus Lady", the baseball team playing first-base in "The Losing Edge" and the basketball team in "Elementary School Musical".
