  • The PC babies and their constant crying is a reference to the Snowflake Generation who practice political correctness and become easily offended.
  • PC Principal being offended at the idea that gender was assigned to the babies is a reference to the belief that assigning a gender at birth is offensive and harmful.
  • Strong Woman is shown to shop at Food 4 Little, a parody of the supermarket chain Food 4 Less. Though, in real life, the chain does not have any stores in Colorado.
  • In the baby care aisle at Food 4 Little, Pompers and Nuzzies can be seen on the shelves, which are parodies of baby diaper brands Pampers and Huggies
  • In terms of appearances in the show, Mr. Hankey has not been seen since his brief appearance in the season 16 episode "I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining".
  • A #cancelthesimpsons hashtag was used at the end instead of the #cancelsouthpark used in the end credits of the two previous episodes.

References to Popular Culture

  • The title is a reference to the recent Simpsons controversial documentary "The Problem With Apu".
  • Mr. Hankey blaming the sleep medication Ambien for his offensive tweets is a reference to comedian Rosanne Barr, who lost her television show in 2018 after making an offensive tweet regarding former U.S. president Barrack Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett that she claimed was intended to be a joke.
  • The PC babies crying at the doctor wearing a Speedy Gonzales t-shirt is a reference to the Warner Brothers character who in recent times has been deemed offensive due to being portrayed as a Mexican stereotype. Cartoon Network has previously shelved the shorts and reinstated them after support from the Latin-American community.
  • The Mr. Hankey Hearing is a parody of the Senate Judiciary Hearing for Brett Kavanaugh who was being nominated for Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
  • In the window display at the Halloween Outlet, there are various comic and video game characters masks and costumes including:

Goofs

  • At the beginning of Mr. Hankey's Chirstmas Concert, Laura Tucker shown from the back walking towards the performance in a short sleeved green shirt and dark green skirt with flower pattern. When the camera shows the audience from the front, she is now wearing a long sleeved dress with a white belt and collar, similar to her old design. After the audience becomes upset and begins to leave, she is wearing her short sleeved shirt and dark green skirt again.

Continuity

  • Stan's arm is no longer in a sling, indicating he has recovered from the shooting in "Dead Kids".
  • Another shooting can be heard taking place at South Park Elementary at the beginning of the episode, also continuing the indifference towards it seen in "Dead Kids".
  • Heidi Turner appears in the music classroom, having lost weight but still keeping her hat.
  • PC Principal confronts Miss Strong Woman about their affair in "SUPER HARD PCness".
  • When Stan answers to Kyle that Mr. Hankey has been there for them once, he's referring to 'I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining', where Mr. Hankey rescued the boys from the boat ride (sans Kenny, who had died from boredom before he got there).
  • The end credits do not feature the #cancelsouthpark hashtag and have returned to their original black screen with the credits in front.
