The on screen information at the end of the Asses Of Fire 2 trailer

  • This is the final episode to feature Butters as the Kenny replacement before being replaced with Tweek in the following episode, "Professor Chaos".
  • The theme song for Russell Crowe's show is a parody of The Lumberjack Song by Monty Python.
  • In "Cat Orgy", Shelly and Cartman become friends in the end. When Cartman gets angry Shelly calls him a "fat turd'.
  • Terrance and Phillip's new movie is the sequel to the film they made in "South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut". This film is, according to "Terrance and Phillip: Behind the Blow", their first collaboration since the first Asses of Fire.
  • The homeless man who is killed by the TV robot is the same one that bought the kids tickets to the first Terrance and Phillip movie in South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut.
  • The song Russell Crowe sings to his tugboat is a parody of a 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts song, Things Have Got To Change.
  • The medal attached to Russell Crowe's chest is most probably a reference to his grandfather's OBE decoration that Crowe wore to the 2001 Academy Awards ceremony.
  • When one of Russell's fight scenes is cut short, he confronts (and beats up) the editor. This is a reference to when he was partly cut out at the 2002 BAFTA awards, and went on to accost the show's producer because of it. The part that was cut out was a poem he read, and then screaming at the editor, "That fighting's my poetry! No one edits my poetry!".
  • This is one of only two episodes to be shown in real time, the other being season 11's "The Snuke," which parodies 24.
  • In the episode "Professor Chaos", Butters mentions going to get tampons for Shelly when he is ranting about being sacked. This is a reference to this episode.
  • In Australia, the UK and possibly some other countries, the episode was cut with fewer ad breaks, meaning they were not synchronized with the ad breaks in Fightin' Around the World.
  • Chef's TV transforms into a robot similar to an ED-209 from the Robocop franchise. This marks the robot's second appearance since Kenny had used it as a Halloween costume in "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery".
  • The Russel Crowe show is a lot like Steve Irwin's shows when Irwin wrestles with crocs.
  • In the game Red Dead: Redemption there is an achievement/trophy called Fightin' Around the World, which is a reference to Russell Crowe's show.
  • Scene where Russel Crowe is driving a boat is similar to scene in cartoon "Steamboat Willie" where Mickey Mouse appeared for the first time.
  • When the kids go to the retirement home, the old people are watching "Dogs From Around the World" which was also seen in the previous episode, "Fun With Veal".
  • Skeeter let the boys stay in the bar but in "Sexual Harassment Panda", he said that he doesn't take kindly to 4th graders.
  • The Bartender told the boys that they are too young to be in the bar but in "Sexual Harassment Panda", He let the boys stay in his bar.
