Main page fixes

This page really needs to be fixed. We have one sentence articles for main characters and everything else is pulled off of Wikipedia. I am fixing the main page, and I have already started working on some fo the main articles like Eric Cartmand an Mrs. Garrison. I mean, jesus christ. Theres about four different pages about Mr. Garrison.

eg. Mr. Garrison, Herbert Garrison, Mrs. Garrison, Mrs. Garrison (Herbert Garrison)

Major logo redo

Southpark.jpg Someone needs to make a better logo. A picture of Ike (and not even a South Park accurate picture) doesn't count, and I get sad every time I see it. -- NachoMan 25 March, 2007

You need to create an account, it's designed to stop vandals. Besides, if you make an account it will be easier to communicate with you and discuss things as IP adresses are difficult to remember. Mr. Garrison 16:21, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Girls

What is with the girls all being stated to wear skirts? There is some clear-cut evidence such as Wendy Testaburger plush and action figures. In Marjorine, some girls wear trousers to bed. Shelly is shown to wear pants too. Finally, Flora, the girl who was undecided in voting for Fillmore and Ike was shown to be wearing pants as well. So that's why I came to talk. Main page redirect

Hi, I'm not an administrator here, but I am an admin on 3 other wikis on Wikia, and I noticed that you are using a redirect to the main page from the page currently marked as the main page, resulting in the text "redirected from South Park Wiki" to appear at the top of your main page. Obviously I think you don't want that, so here is a quick tweak: Go to the page named MediaWiki:Mainpage, and replace the entire page with "South Park Archives". We can't: there are too many. They are a part of South Park. South Park Archives is not censored, just as Wikipedia is not censored. The site is intended for mature viewers. Just as the show is. We cannot and will not censor words.—Matt (talk) 22:09, November 18, 2008 (UTC)

South Park involves bad language, it's part of the show, we can't just change it for the sake of offending people. If someone was coming on to a South Park encyclopedia they should expect this kind of language to be displayed uncensored, I say we put a note on the main page and leave it at that. More traffic

What can we do to get more traffic to the South Park Wiki and then, hopefully more content. Are there sites out there where we can request links?

The current wikipedia rules allow you to link to a remote wiki. They changed it not that long ago. I have a link to the Gantz wiki in the official Gantz wikipedia article, as well as one for Voltron. Dream Focus 20:01, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

L problems

Terrance and Philip, Philip Pirrip, Philip Glass. All three articles spell Philip with 1 'L'. All three, in bold, in the first sentence, spell it with 2. I do not know which spelling is correct in all cases. Obviously due to confusion, we should redirect either spelling, but what spelling is proper? Tyciol 15:20, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

For the South Park characters you can ask on the South Park Studios FAQ thing, for the RL characters search wikipedia and other sources. This Google Search shows that Philip Glass is spelt with one 'L.' JPanzerj 15:54, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Interwiki Affiliation

How about a template box on the main page to advertise the other South Park related wikias such as the South Park Fanon wikia and the Other wikias? And if they do it as well it could help generate more traffic. JPanzerj 15:54, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

March's Featured Article

The Titlecard on the Hompage

I think the image showing the titlecard of South Park (aka the one showing the four main boys and the characters behind the sign) should be updated to this image: http://southpark.wikia.com/wiki/File:South_Park.png Because it's the Season 13 one and its in High Definition.

Season 3... wrong episode order

It's actually in the right order, we list episodes according to their production numbers:

• Tweek vs. Craig - Episode 36 - Production no. 304
• Jakovasaurs - Episode 35 - Production no. 305
• Sexual Harassment Panda - Episode 37 - Production no. 306

I know it's a bit weird, and I would rather list it by episode number, maybe we'll change it later, but for now I'd rather live it as it is.

Header

On all episode pages the synopsis and plot need to be switched. I've been doing this, so can someone help? Here's my reason: the synopsis explains the details of the episode, and the plot just explains what it's about. So that's why it must be changed. Thanks! Slider

Well that... certainly is a new feature! Although I know it was just added recently and has a few things to be refined. Like...

1: The white text sometimes blends in with the background

2: I'm not completely sure it looks great as the very first thing you see on the page. I think it might be better if it was just below the old, original banner, and replaced the "latest episode information" section. What do you think?

3: How do you edit its contents? I can't figure out how.

1. The color of the text can be changed through MediaWiki:Wikia.css, but I think it would be better to just change the image.
2. Personally I like it at the top. But we may rearange it at any time.
3. The images, links and descriptions can be changed on MediaWiki:Slider (only admins can edit the MediaWiki namespace). --Anon ^talk 14:28, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, I know! We should have the original banner inside the slider, as the first slide. I'm going to try and make a version for that. Also, the images for the Characters List, Episodes List and Locations List I don't think are as good as they could be. Sorry for being so superly picky; it's the first thing one sees on the website now and I want it to be perfect.
