  • Most of the people in the Pioneer Village resemble characters from Little House on the Prairie.
  • The criminals parody the gang of thieves from Die Hard.
  • When Cartman and Butters ride the motorcycle it parodies a scene from the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies, where Bond is driving a motorcycle with Wan Lin handcuffed.
  • The "I learned something today" part is parodying the same sentence Kyle or Stan would say at the end of the earlier episodes.
  • If you look closely, a girl resembling Rebecca Cotswolds is present at the Pioneer village.
  • Also if you look closely, when the of Super Phun Thyme is shown, a boy resembling Bradley from "Cartman Sucks" is seen entering.
  • Kevin and Rebecca, two students who did not appear at the beginning of the episode, are present during the final scene.
  • When Cartman and Butters got to Super Phun Thyme a clear homage to Sigue Sigue Sputnik's "Love Missle F1-111" is played in reference to Ferris Beuller's Day Off.
