  • This episode marks the first appearance of PC Principal.
  • In the original promo picture with Cartman laying in the hospital severely injured, Jimmy is in the room with Stan, Kyle, and Butters. But in the actual episode, he's replaced with Kenny.
  • Although mentioned, Principal Victoria does not appear in this episode.
  • In the episode, Cartman asks PC Principal if he wants to end up like the Subway spokesman, referencing Jared Fogle, who was accused of being a pedophile in the summer of 2015.
  • The PCA Bros. fraternity Greek letters are ΡΩΔ which translates into Rho Omega Delta with the Omega on its side in the shape of the English letter C. The official name is PC Delta.

  • Cartman getting four days of detention references Tom Brady's four-game suspension from the NFL for his role in the "Deflategate" scandal. Later, Cartman has a dream where he portrays Brady, as well as NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
  • PC Principal compares Kyle to Bret Favre, referencing a viral video of him slowly clapping and rubbing his hands together when Caitlyn Jenner went up to accept the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at the ESPY Awards. The video itself is later shown when Kyle is applauded for giving in and calling Jenner a hero.
  • Cartman tries to get revenge at PC Principal by framing him for having sex with Butters, invoking Jared Fogle's accusation and conviction for pedophilia. He is later seen during the climax prepared to prey on children.
  • The Syrian children being let loose during the climax satirizes the 2015 European migrant crisis.
  • The PC Bros. fraternity has the same carpet pattern as the Overlook Hotel in The Shining.

Bradley Biggle Sightings

In every episode of Season 19, Bradley Biggle can be spotted in the background, much like the Visitors were in previous Seasons.

  • Seen in the hallway on the left side of the screen in front of a locker while Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and Butters discuss the new Principal.
