Trivia[]

  • This episode marks the first appearance of PC Principal.
  • In the original promo picture with Cartman laying in the hospital severely injured, Jimmy is in the room with Stan, Kyle, and Butters. But in the actual episode, he is replaced with Kenny.
  • Although mentioned, Principal Victoria does not appear in this episode.
  • Mr. Mackey mentions that the one minority they have is Tolkien Black. Strangely, Nichole Daniels is not mentioned nor appears in this episode.
  • In the episode, Cartman asks PC Principal if he wants to end up like the Subway spokesman, referencing Jared Fogle, who was convicted for traveling to engage in illicit sexual contact with children and possession of child pornography in the summer of 2015.
  • The PC bros. fraternity Greek letters are ΡΩΔ which translates into Rho Omega Delta with the Omega on its side in the shape of the English letter C. The official name is PC Delta.
  • While writing the episode, Matt and Trey would run around and imitate PC Principal.[1]
  • During the credit sequence, Cartman sings the outro theme. This is the only episode of the season in which this occurs.

References to Popular Culture[]

  • Cartman getting four days of detention references Tom Brady's four-game suspension from the NFL for his role in the "Deflategate" scandal.
    • Later, Cartman has a dream where he portrays Brady, as well as NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
  • PC Principal compares Kyle to Brett Favre, referencing a viral video of him slowly clapping and rubbing his hands together when Caitlyn Jenner went up to accept the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at the 2015 ESPY Awards. The video itself is later shown when Kyle is applauded for giving in and calling Jenner a hero.
  • Cartman tries to get revenge at PC Principal by framing him for having sex with Butters, invoking Jared Fogle's accusation and conviction for child sex tourism. He is later seen during the climax prepared to prey on children.
  • The song that plays while Randy first attends the fraternity house is "Genius of Love" by the Tom Tom Club.
  • The Syrian children being let loose during the climax satirizes the 2015 European migrant crisis.
  • The PC Bros. fraternity has the same carpet pattern as the Overlook Hotel in The Shining.
  • The phrase "Hot Cosby" is a reference to Bill Cosby's sexual assault cases.

Continuity[]

  • PC Principal brings up the events of "Child Abduction is Not Funny", "The Return of Chef", "City Sushi", "Eek, A Penis!", and "The Cissy" when ranting about South Park's insensitive history.
    • Mr. Garrison references that he was a lesbian during "Eek, A Penis!" and this is one of the few times his time as a woman has been referenced since that episode.
  • This is the third time Jared Fogle has been portrayed on the show after "Jared Has Aides" and "200".
  • Cartman asks Butters to gather two hundred pregnant Mexican women in order to revenge on PC Principal. Butters readily promises Cartman and indeed manages to bring those women. This can be considered as a reference to "The Last of the Meheecans", where Butters becomes Mantequilla and harnesses the power to command Mexicans.

Goofs[]

  • Clyde, despite being part of the Taco Launcher crew, can be seen with the townspeople, questioning whats happening at the PC Frat House.
  • David Rodriguez appears in this episode as a Syrian refugee child in the siege of the PC Delta. He was crushed between the cars of Chinese drivers, but then appeared shortly afterwards unharmed.

Bradley Biggle Sightings[]

In every episode of Season 19, Bradley Biggle can be spotted in the background, much like the Visitors were in previous Seasons.

  • Seen in the hallway on the left side of the screen in front of a locker while Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and Butters discuss the new Principal.
