Trivia[]
- The announcers at the Colorado Avalanche game bear resemblance to the Chinese announcers in "Conjoined Fetus Lady", possibly doing their perfected American impersonations.
- Cartman and Kenny do not appear in this episode, while Kyle only appears in one scene.
- This is the only episode with Stan's name in the title.
- The council member who Stan speaks to about his bike has the same voice as the narrator of Rob Schneider's films in "The Biggest Douche in the Universe". This is further lampooned when the council member tells Stan how he can have his bike returned, while speaking in a narrative tone and physically scratching a record. He continues to do this throughout the episode.
- The kid who has leukemia on the team has the "unlucky" number 13 on his shirt. This is a gag that Kenny is frequently subject to.
- This episode is one of the very few where it ends badly for the central "hero".
- This is the last episode to be censored on DVD.
- On IMDb, "Stanley's Cup" and "A Million Little Fibers", both Season 10 episodes, are among the lowest rated South Park episodes on the website, at 7.4 and 6.3 stars, respectively. Coincidentally, another Season 10 episode, "Make Love, Not Warcraft", is the second highest rated episode of the entire series on the website, at 9.5 stars.
