South Park Backyards is the fourth chapter of South Park: Snow Day!.
Summary[]
Now that the true enemy of South Park has been revealed, Humans and Elves must join forces to stop Mr. Hankey. Snow days are great but they can't last forever. It's time to stop this endless winter together![1]
Plot[]
The chapter starts with the boys and the New Kid laying down their cards for the bullshit trial, with no enemy yet visible. Then Cartman suddenly jumps to the other side of the trial, revealing himself as the main enemy of this stage. He claims that their way towards Mr. Hankey ends here with him and explains he teamed up with Hankey to "live the life he always wanted" - a life with no school. Ignoring the remarks of Stan and Kyle about the dangers of the snowstorm, he tells the New Kid that he should have seen his betrayal coming.
A chase begins, first through the backyards, then on Main Street, where the New Kid needs to clear waves of enemies who are under Cartman's control due to his usage of Hankey's Dark Matter. The player then reaches the South Park Church and its graveyard. Cartman continues to run away, however, when he runs past his mom Liane, he orders her to stop the New Kid for "ruining his snow day time". Liane turns around, with Dark Matter all over her face, and attacks the New Kid together with other adults. The chase continues and more waves of enemies have to be defeated.
After finishing the last waves near Loomis Gasoline and being warned by Farmer Fred that the New Kids "don't wanna go down that road", they need to walk through a ravine. As they are moving on, they are being stared at from the sides by giant Cartman snow statues, which are repeatedly bawling "NO SCHOOL!". The gorge ends in a dead end and the New Kid faces Cartman, who summons a big snow-made version of himself to attack the New Kid for him. Despite this threat, the New Kid defeats Cartman in the end by focusing their attacks on the real Cartman, who then again states he doesn't want to go to school as he falls onto the ground.
