South Park Archives:Projects

Projects are planned and organized edits to large areas of the wiki and are typically done by more than one person. This page is a hub for all the projects set up on this wiki to improve the quality of the articles and the wiki itself. Wiki Homepage Project

The wiki homepage project will be the biggest refresh of South Park Archives' homepage since 2012. The three users above will be responsible for thinking of, testing and deploying new homepage ideas and designs. The new homepage should have a modern look, have easier navigation to characters and episodes (content) and have a new visual layout. Some sections (such as Affiliates, Localization, Most Searched, Most Viewed and Adult Animated Shows) should be carefully reviewed for their usefulness and effectiveness. The project should be complete by April. This project should also segway into a review for the wiki's color scheme, header, background and general layout.

Current Projects

Wiki Background (Admin Only)

Create a new wiki background with a new design. Make sure it looks proper on Community Feeds. (More information available on SPA Slack/ Discord Admin Chat)

Tabbed Infobox Project

The Tabbed Infobox Project will introduce tabs on character info boxes which will allow readers to select different appearances and photos for characters right from the infobox (e.g. The Coon, Spirit of Christmas image, etc.) This project will also address infoboxes for DVD/Blu-Ray image covers and other infoboxes across South Park Archives. Fractured But Whole/ Phone Destroyer

This project will be to create content for the new South Park games. See This Page if you are interested in helping out. (Subject For Review - Q1 2019)

Image Review Project

Project in early planning. Review old seasons (1 to 9) episode images.

Location Portal Project	To revamp the Location Portal to accommodate HorizontalTOC and TOP templates. Mod wikinav. (Subject For Review - Q1 2019)
Homepage Renovation	Redo the homepage entirely or add navigational sections for content, discord etc. (Currently in early planning - Q2 2019)

Season 22 Reassurance Project (Mid December to January 2019)	Address anything missed during Season 22 on the wiki. Like Songs, Characters and Locations/ Objects. (Following this all Season 22 pages open to editors)
Wiki Article Updating and Cleanup (Subject For Review - Q1 2019) (Phase 1)	update grammar in articles as well as the content of articles. Phase 1 will include updating the following Character articles: All Main, Major, Significant, 5-9th graders, School Faculty, 1st-3rd graders, and 4th graders (A through L). We'll also expand any stubs and clean up some other areas of the wiki.
Video Game Project (PD/ FBW DLC ONLY Subject For Review - Q1 2019)	adding new Fractured But Whole and Phone Destroyer content to the wiki
Wiki Article Updating and Cleanup Part 2 (Q2 2019/TBA)	This project will cover the rest of the 4th graders and we also will give every character article from A-Z a look to see if anything needs to be updated, renamed, corrected or changed. We also will clean up/ fact check/ correct trivia pages, old talk pages, categories and other areas of the wiki (mostly behind the scene lines of code, sandbox pages, templates and forum posts). We will also make new articles during this time period if deemed necessary.
Duplicate Images Project	Admin Only - To find all of the duplicate images and resolve the links to a common image. (CANCELED BY HighJewElfKing ON 12/13/17)
Behind The Scenes content (Q1/Q2 2019)	add behind the scenes content to trivia pages and episode galleries (some BTS content may also be added to episode pages. The project also gives us a chance to see if any episode pages or content in them needs to be updated like episode plots.)

Disambiguation Project	To standardize the disambiguation pages and append (disambiguation) to the title.
Unused Files Project	To reuse or delete all of the unused images in the Unused Files maintenance report.
Wanted Pages Project	To remove most of the red links listed in the Wanted Pages maintenance report.
Episode Scripts Project 2.0	- To reformat all episode scripts and ensure their accuracy.
Age Project	To deploy the age template to all celebrities and shorten the ages of all children.
Character Portal Project	To revamp the Character Portal to accommodate the new HorizontalTOC and Top templates.
Songs Project	To make new pages for songs and to update existing songs' pages as needed.
Stub Pages Project	To expand or rewrite pages that have been deemed to be "stubs".
Critical Reception Project	Critical reception for episodes in Seasons 16-20 iff reception for a complete season is available.
Episode Scripts Project 3.0	TABLED - To reformat all episode scripts using the new templates.
