Season Two of South Park aired on April 1, 1998.

In this season, Cartman discovers his dad is his mom, Kyle finds out his brother Ike is from Canada and Mr. Garrison replaces Mr. Hat with a new puppet called Mr. Twig. This season had its first controversy when it aired "Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus" instead of the conclusion to "Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut". This season also has the most episodes up to date, with eighteen episodes.

Series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone mentioned in the Season Three commentaries that they considered this season to be very poor, and Season Two is the only DVD box set to lack commentaries.
