Season Twenty-Six was announced on September 12, 2019.[1] It premiered on February 8, 2023.[2]
With this season, South Park surpassed Arthur as the second longest-running animated series in the United States, behind The Simpsons.
Jonathan Kimmel and Pam Brady are both credited as consultants on the first two episodes of this season, marking their returns to the show after both stepped back during the twelfth season. Brady however was credited as consultant for a few episodes in Season 23.
