"Runaway, Come Home" is a song from the Season Two episode, "City on the Edge of Forever (Flashbacks)".
Background[]
The boys and the other children are trapped on the school bus as it balances on a cliff, in the mountains. Ms. Crabtree went to get help but never came back.
The parents are worried about their missing children, thinking they ran away, get together to post missing persons fliers around town. Meanwhile, the children use the TV on the school bus and see the Channel 4 News report about themselves. Stan Marsh's father, Randy Marsh, along with the other parents and Mr. Garrison, sing for the kids to come home. When the kids see this, they start laughing at how ridiculous that looks. Mr. Marsh does a solo, singing for Stan to come home, causing Kyle to laugh at him and saying "Your dad is an r*****!" After Randy finishes singing, Gerald Broflovski does a solo, singing for Kyle to come home. Kyle's response would naturally be "My dad is a r*****", but he is too stunned to say anything after insulting Stan's dad for doing what his own dad is now doing.
Lyrics[]
Randy:
Little lamb, you're lost in the great big world.
Runaway, findin' streets so cold.
Gerald:
You left home lookin' for somethin' new.
But all you need is right here waitin' for you.
All parents:
Runaway, come home. We love you just as you are.
Runaway, come home. We're sorry things went this far.
