The Newsmen are a group of news reporters and anchors who appeared in the Season Nineteen episodes, "Sponsored Content" and "Truth and Advertising".
Background[]
The newsmen first appear at the end of "Naughty Ninjas" where their lead anchor, Tom, asks Officer Barbrady for information on Leslie Meyers.
In "Sponsored Content", they give Jimmy some tests to end advertisements. They then send him to talk to Leslie. The names Tom for their leader and Kevin Jarvis are revealed.
In "Truth and Advertising", Jimmy helps Leslie escape the newsmen after she makes him believe that she is good. They order Officer Barbrady to shoot the two, but he instead helps them escape, only because of the fact that they are children. Despite this, Leslie later beats up Jimmy and they are revealed to be correct that she is an advertisement.
One of their members, Tom, has since become a news anchor again.
Appearance[]
The Newsmen all wear suits and ties. The main newsman wears glasses and has black hair.
Prominence[]
Trivia[]
- The former news anchor on the show for the first ten seasons, Tom Pusslicker, is one of the newsmen, though he has no dialogue. The later appearance of Tom means that at least three of these reporters are named Tom, the same name often used for any anchor or reporter in the show.
- Many of their newsmen in the group first appeared in "Britney's New Look".
