Trivia[]
- As shown in the episode's press release and two deleted scenes, the episode originally involved the town hosting a "PC Carnival" and PC Principal trying to stop the ninjas from ruining the event.
- The main member of the terror group ISIS being satirized in this episode, Muhammad Emwazi aka Jihadi John was killed in an air strike one day after this episode aired.
- This is one of the few times an adult has lost their job, the others being Principal Victoria in "Stunning and Brave", Mr. Garrison in "Cherokee Hair Tampons", and Mr. Mackey in "Ike's Wee Wee".
- This episode's airing was postposed until the end of the season in several countries (such as Spain) due to the attacks in France in November 2015.
- In the assembly where PC Principal called the police, Millie Larsen is seen with a purple jacket instead of her normal green one.
- Strangely, Wendy Testaburger does not appear at the assembly nor anywhere else in this episode.
- The kids ninja weaponry set can be seen amongst the SoDoSoPa ruins in South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
- MC Hammer's 1990 song "U Can't Touch This" can be heard when Cartman is informed by ISIS that Jews are not allowed in their organization. This is the second time for this song to be featured in the show, the first being "The Simpsons Already Did It".
- David's last name is revealed as Rodriguez in this episode.
- This episode marks the first appearance of Mrs. Barbrady, but only in a photo.
Continuity[]
- In Officer Barbrady's house, there is a newspaper article in a frame referencing the events of "Chickenlover".
- This is the first episode to focus on Officer Barbrady since "Toilet Paper".
- Currently, this is the last episode in which David speaks.
- Cartman mentions Tweek and Craig being homosexual, which was first explored in "Tweek x Craig".
- Tweek and Craig are shown sitting together at the assembly, embracing their relationship from the previous episode.
- Butters is still in a neck brace recovering from the injuries he sustained in "Safe Space", which were caused by his attempted suicide.
- In a shot at the start of the song "Fuck tha Police" by NWA, a woman from "About Last Night..." can be seen with an Obama cap on.
- This is the second time the boys, Tolkien, Clyde, and Jimmy become ninjas since "Good Times with Weapons". But in this instance they all wore black ninja garbs, Butters was included, and Craig wasn't.
- This is the second time the boys had trouble telling each other apart because they were all dressed in similar garb; the first was when they all wore cult robes and sported shaved heads in "Super Best Friends".
- This is the second time the town was overrun by homeless people, the first being in "Night of the Living Homeless".
Bradley Biggle Sightings[]
In every episode of Season 19, Bradley Biggle can be spotted in the background, much like the Visitors were in previous seasons.
- Bradley can be seen walking amongst the homeless scattered outside the Whole Foods as Randy exits.
Deleted Scene[]
- The Boys, along with Butters, Tolkien, and David watch television, presumably a show about ninjas. Cartman claims to the boys that ninjas are cool, but Stan reminds him that he had previously said that ninjas were "gay". Embarrassed, Cartman attempts to tell the other boys that he didn't and pins the blame on Kyle, who is shocked to learn that Cartman has apparently recorded anything he has said for moments like this.
