  • Despite being Jeff's translator, Dave seems to have poor skills in the Spanish language as most of his translations were incorrect.
  • The show's normal opening theme does not play at the beginning of the episode. Instead, Randy sings a variation of the theme with altered lyrics to fit with Tegridy Farms . He also sings over part of the outro at the end of the episode.
  • Towelie telling Randy he can't say: "Fuck South Park!" might be a reference to Mr. Hankey's scandal from last season.
  • In "Ginger Cow", Kyle states that he does not speak Hebrew, however he is seen reciting Hebrew passages to the children in the camp, indicating that he has since learnt it.
  • Cartman refers to the Holocaust when referencing his insensitivity to Kyle.

References to Popular Culture

  • This episode mocks U.S President Donald Trump's ICE deportation scandals.
    • Though for full clarification, the deportation program and its methods dates as far back as the Obama Era, though it was expanded upon after Trumps issued a Zero Tolerance Policy
  • Cartman sings "It’s The Hard Knock Life" from the Broadway musical, Annie, whilst trying to cheer up the incarcerated children.
  • Cartman laments about global warming and how it is affecting the kids of his generation, referencing the current generation blaming adults for not doing enough to stop climate change.
  • Kyle mentions the tactics used at the detention facility will eventually create a "Mexican Joker", referring to the DC Comics villain The Joker. It may also be a reference to the 2019 film, Joker, which has gained controversy, due to its main character being portrayed as an incel who eventually snaps and uses violence against those who have mistreated him. Some critics have commented that it may inspire incels to cause violence against society.[1][2][3]
  • The theme from The Godfather plays in the closing scene.
  • The traditional Mexican folk song, "La Cucaracha", can be heard on the piano during the puppet show at the detention center.
  • Princess Star was a clear nod references to Disney Television Animation series Star vs. the Forces of Evil
  • The music in the establishing shots for Tegridy Farms in this episode can also be found in the TV series That's My Bush!, also created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
