I have answered some of your questions about adminship.

1. Do I have to create the request for adminship page? No, if someone want's you to be an administrator they will create a page, like this: South Park Archives:Request for Adminship/SPfan333. They will give some reasons of why you should be an administrator, and before you know it an admin will check it out and you'll soon be an administrator.

2. If someone else nominates me, do I let them fill out and create the request for adminship page, or do I do it and just put a link to their username?
You can't nominate yourself to be an administrator, someone will check out what you've done on South Park Archives and the might request you to be an administrator. I would nominate you but you've only been editing this wiki for 1 week, and I can't be sure you'll sensibly.

3. Do I have to do both the creation of the request page and the putting my username under the current requests or can I do one and not the other?
I do not understand what you mean... sorry.

4. Will you nominate me for adminship?

I might sooner or later, and you can just be an admin after 1 week, it took me 9 months to become an admin!\

5. (A little off topic but) How do I get one of those cool countdowns on my page?
Just copy and paste this: <p style="text-align:center"><span class="countdown" style="display:none;">'''Only <span class="countdowndate">(MONTH) (DAY) (YEAR) (HOUR):(MINUTE):(SECOND)0 PST</span> until (SOMETHING) '''</span></p>
If you want a count down to the next episode copy and paste this:
<p style="text-align:center"><span class="countdown" style="display:none;">'''Only <span class="countdowndate">October 6 2010 18:00:00 PST</span> until the next episode. '''</span></p>

I hope I helped answer your questions correctly and I might make nominate you in a month or two. Bye! Sonic Look&#039;s Up CrampsyTalk Mario Look&#039;s Up August 6th, 2010, 5:40 am (US time), 10:40 am (UK time)

New Community Discussion Edit

I'd like to welcome our newest "power-editor", hope you stay with us and keep on improving this wiki.

But remember that you should always put quality above quantity.

Also you should review your editing style, for example:

  • You should always try to finish all the editing you need to do to an article in one edit. Reviewing your edit history shows that you purposely save multiple edits (to gain edit count?)
    • Same goes for images.
  • Overlinking {1}, read this.
  • Also refrain from inserting personal notes into articles (e.g, "All in all though, it’s a great buy!" - Imaginationland (home video)
  • If you haven't done so by now, please read the rules.
  • This is just a little constructive criticism, but I hope you will work on improving those few things and help out a bit more.

Now to the more pressing matters. We need to make a decision regarding implamenting the achievement system on this wiki. Could you take a look at the Community Discussion and comment on the topic?

Thanks --Anon talk 21:27, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

No problem, I always assume good faith when it comes to new editors, so I thought the culprit of the multiple-saves was either lack of information or something technical.
I'm just glad we have another good editor in ranks :) --Anon talk 00:38, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

SPQ Edit

Hello there!

The South Park Archives has a new forum called the South Park Questionnaire.
It is a test to see how well you know your South Park.

Characters category Edit

The Characters category is a "hidden category", meaning that it doesn't show up on the page unless you start editing it without the RTE enabled or in "source".

I saw you adding it to the same article a couple of times so I thought I'd explain this :) --Anon talk 23:12, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks... Edit

... I probably wan't stay on there for long, but I don't mind :)

Also you should read this. --Anon talk 23:45, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Typing upside down Edit

I think there should be an HTML tag that would allow it, I'm not sure if there is, but I'll look for it ;) --Anon talk 02:13, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

The only thing that I could find is a couple of websites that turn the text upside down. This one's the best.
We can actually import the JavaScript that inverts letters into our MediaWiki:Common.js, but I can't find it anywhere :D

Poll Edit

For season 7, it's called Christmas in Canada, not Christmas Time in South Park

Categories Edit

Please look at this before adding more categories to articles. Thanks --Anon talk 19:50, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, it's not decided yet, you can leave your opinion on what our categorization policy should look like here. --Anon talk 21:11, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

Categories AGAIN Edit

You really need to read this very carefully. A lot of your recent edits go against our policy and if they persist, they will be viewed as "achievement boosting".

If you want the policy to change, please leave your comment on this forum. Thank you. --Anon talk 19:34, September 21, 2010 (UTC)

We are still discussing whether celebrities should go in other categories i.e, adults, male, female. I myself am undecided on that matter.
The problem with your edits yesterday was, that you used too many categories in some articles, One-off characters, minor characters and background characters are all different so they should only be categorized as one of those but should never be in two of those categories at the same time. --Anon talk 16:27, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

My vote for the box set poll Edit

I voted for Mr. Garrison. I don't know exactly how popular he is, but he just seems like the next logical character to release a special set for after Cartman and Butters. He's the only character who has a huge story-arc that travels through the entire show. Davoo 23:50, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
