Trivia

  • This episode parodies Al Gore's take on global warming while mixing in the South Park creators belief that Global Warming isn't real.
  • Some of the Stalactites and Stalagmites in the Cave of the Winds are clearly shaped like penises, despite the Guide calling them "the hanging mushroom", "a man with helmet and two bowling balls" and "the two sisters".
  • When Cartman is eating the treasure while drinking it with water, his water bottle reads "WOTTUR".
  • In South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play, ManBearPig is a boss in the penultimate level. If the player manages to defeat the boss without using towers, on Insane Mode, they will receive an achievement called "MANBEARPIG!". It is the hardest achievement to acquire next to "Look for Treasure" which requires the player to earn the highest medal possible... The Platinum Medal.
  • During the whole episode instead of saying "serious", Al Gore says "cereal" or "super cereal".
  • After the scene where Al Gore leads the boys off-track from the rest of the group, the tour guide's eyes have lines around them as characters have when scared or frightened, although this would not make sense in this situtation.
  • When the woman in the tour tells her husband to take a picture of the wind her voice is Linda Stotch's voice.

Continuity

  • Manbearpig manifests his true form in "Imaginationland, Episode II". Which, ironically enough means that Manbearpig is in fact not real. However, his existence in Imaginationland could be the fault of Al Gore, for imagining him in the first place.

References to Popular Culture

  • In Red Dead Redemption, a video game, there is a glitch where a human with a bag over his head, squeals like a pig, and attacks like a bear. This may be a reference to ManBearPig, as this creature has been nicknamed ManBearPig.
  • The Komfort Inn is a parody of the Comfort Inn hotel chain.
