Since 2002, South Park have been featured in pre-game videos in support for the Los Angeles Kings ice hockey team during their home games in Crypto.com Arena (formerly STAPLES Center).
Background[]
Matt Stone, Trey Parker, and producer Frank Agnone, all of whom are Los Angeles Kings fans, have produced shorts for the team during their home games.[1]
The shorts largely feature Eric Cartman in an ice hockey player attire as the main character, with occasional appearances of the rest of the boys.
Most shorts begin with Cartman skating into the ice rink and greeting the crowd. A mascot representing the opponent (sometimes Kenny in the opponent attire continuously saying, “Boo Kings!”) may appear afterwards, with Cartman getting rid of it by shooting or pummeling it down with his hockey stick, or calling for an ice resurfacer to run it over. During or after dealing with the mascot (or Kenny), Cartman may shout his infamous quote "Respect my/our authoritah!". This is followed by the Kings' chant "Go Kings Go!" four times.
