Las Vegas is the most populous city in the state of Nevada, United States. It first appeared in the Season Three episode, "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus".
Background[]
In the episode, people from all the world and the media gather outside Jesus' house, eager to find out his plans for the new millennium. They request Jesus to let them see God. However, God turns down Jesus' request. Jesus comes up with another plan; to hold a comeback concert for Rod Stewart that will take place in Las Vegas, and invites everyone.
People fly to Las Vegas for the concert and Jesus is shocked and worried to find out that people still expect to see God. To make matters worse, Rod Stewart "poops his pants" during the concert and his nurse has to change his diaper. The audience gets very angry and they prepare to crucify Jesus once more. As Jesus goes to sulk with Stan who has not gotten his "period", he tells Stan that God cannot deal with everybody's problems or there would be no point to living. Upon saying this, Jesus realizes this as God's message to him: He should not have relied on God to make himself popular once more but will have to do it himself. Upon this realization, God decides to show himself to everyone.
