"John the Fisherman" is a song by alternative rock band PRIMUS. The song was mentioned in the Season Eleven episode, "Guitar Queer-O".

Background

Manager Charles Kincade introduces Thad Jarvis as Kyle Broflovski's replacement for Stan Marsh's Guitar Hero team. Charles claims Thad can play the song "acoustically" on his video game controller. When Thad taps the buttons, the crowd at the cafe reacts as if they were actually hearing the song.
