The store is owned and operated by hunting aficionado Jimbo Kern. Herbert Garrison was a customer who bought a rifle from Jimbo's Guns, in an attempt to assassinate Kathie Lee Gifford. The reason for which was Gifford upstaged him at a talent competition when she and Garrison were children.

Stan's Evil Clone throws Mr. Garrison into the window of the store in "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig". Jimbo appears later to reprimand regular Stan, believing it was him who threw Mr. Garrison and wrecked his shop.

In "201", the locker in which Kenny McCormick hides Muhammad is in the alleyway between Jimbo's Guns and another store.

Eric Cartman then tries to buy a .22 caliber rifle for protection against Patient Zero and Jimbo explains the Stand Your Ground Law in "World War Zimmerman ".
