• Kyle's ringtone is "Maniac" by Michael Sembello.
• Kenny only has a small role in this episode and Stan only appears in crowd scenes.
• A squirrel wearing a top-hat can be seen once again during the Easter egg hunt.
• The Jewpacabra is a pun of the real unidentified creature called the Chupacabra, which is a Spanish phrase that translates into English as "Goat Sucker". Jewpacabra translates as "Jew Goat".
• The water slide Cartman goes through is based on two real rides called the "Serpent Slide" and the "Leap of Faith" at a water park called "Atlantis" in the Bahamas".
• In the church, Cartman starts singing "Jesus loves me, this I know, 'cause Republicans tell me so" to the rhythm of the chorus of the song Spooky Mormon Hell Dream (which in that version is: Jesus hates you, this we know, for Jesus just told you so!), from Matt Stone and Trey Parker's musical, The Book of Mormon.

References to Popular Culture

• The first person view of the hunter looking through the binoculars is a nod to the Predator film series.
• The scene where Kyle Broflovski frees Cartman and puts him in his bed mimics a scene from the movie It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown where Lucy finds Linus asleep in the pumpkin patch, takes him home, and puts him to bed.
• The cryptozoologist team is a satire of Animal Planet program Finding Bigfoot.
• Cartman compares himself to documentary film maker James Cameron when hunting the Jewpacabra.
• When the title card "Cartman's Passover Holiday Special" dissolves into "Jewpacabra", it's a parody of the opening credits of John Carpenter's The Thing.
• In Cartman's dream, the song he sings with the pharoh, his father, is likely a reference to the animated musical, Prince of Egypt, which deals with Moses, Rameses, and the Exodus.

Continuity

• As of this episode, all the main four boys, except for Stan, have converted and or said they were another religion
• This is the second Easter themed episode. The first one was "Fantastic Easter Special".
• After years of ridiculing Jews, Cartman converts to Judaism. It seems he reverted at some point.
• This is the second episode where Cartman has a dream about being in a historical time period. The first episode was "I'm a Little Bit Country".
• Dr. Schwartz can be seen in a photograph when Kyle exits his room after he wakes up.
• Cartman breaks into Butters Stotch's room for the second time; the first was in "The Death of Eric Cartman".

Goofs

• Betsy Donovan died in "Reverse Cowgirl", however, she is seen from behind at the Easter egg hunt.
