J Mart is a department store in South Park. It is often patronized by lower-income families, and avoided by those who are well off.
Background[]
In "Here Comes the Neighborhood", Tolkien Black, having being picked on by the other South Park Elementary students for being rich, pleaded his parents to visit J-Mart. As the mart did not have a valet parking service, and were using fluorescent lightings, Tolkien's parents felt very uncomfortable. Their mere presence in the mart invited stares from other patrons as well.
Trivia[]
- J-Mart is a parody of K-Mart, which also offers low-priced goods of average qualities.
