Investigative Reports with Bill Kurtis is a fictional board game named after A&E Channels Investigative Reports TV series, seen in the Season Four episode, "Cartman Joins NAMBLA" and the Season Eight episode, "Up the Down Steroid".

Background[]

In "Cartman Joins NAMBLA", Eric Cartman teaches Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, and Kenny McCormick how to play the game. The other boys complain that the game is confusing, as well as Cartman cheating by giving out unfair penalty cards.

The game is seen again in "Up the Down Steroid", when the boys were playing in a backyard. They are interrupted by Timmy Burch and Jimmy Valmer with their announcement of competing in the Special Olympics in Denver.

The game can be seen on the shelf of the hobby store in "Cock Magic" during a Magic: The Gathering match between Kenny McCormick and Slaughterhouse.

Gameplay[]

The game appears to be about the various government conspiracies and sensational news reports. The player can deny or cover up these reports and then activate a giant head in the shape of real news journalist and host to many true crime reality TV shows, Bill Kurtis for confirmation. You can also give other players cards that may hinder their amount of turns.

Trivia[]

  • In the Mandarin Chinese dub, the game is titled "我是行政院长" (Pinyin: Wǒ shì xíng zhèng yuàn zhǎng, lit. I am the President of the Executive Yuan), with the central figure parodying former Premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Chang Chun-hsiung.
