Trivia

• Stan and Kenny do not appear in person in this episode. However, they did appear in photos hung on Heidi's wall and in Cartman's flashbacks.
• Among the scenes Cartman flashes back through to when he saw the 2016 Ghostbusters movie, the moment where Heidi shows her vagina to him can be seen.
• During Cartman's flashback and flash-forward, his words are backmasked. When played forward, they are revealed to be his explanation to Heidi that Jimmy stole his phone and sent "mean stuff" to everyone so they would think it's Cartman who sent them.
• MLKKK is shown to have an Okama Gamesphere in his house.
• In MLKKK's room, there are cans of Rockstar Energy Drink lying around.
• In this episode, Randy was unsuccessfully trying to destroy the Memberberries. However, in "Wieners Out" Michael killed one of them in his pocket.

References to Popular Culture

• The song sung by the Danish workers at TrollTrace is from the Danish TV Christmas calendar Alletiders jul from 1994.
• Cartman's daydreams of being on Mars are inspired by the film The Martian (2015).
• The scene where MLKKK is fleeing his house is an homage to the beginning of Dawn of the Dead (2004), when Ana is fleeing her home after the neighborhood is becoming overrun with the undead.
• The song "Africa" by Toto is played during the scene where the Memberberries are driving their car.
• The memberberries holding another memberberry in the back of their car is a reference to the mob film, Goodfellas (1990).
• The scene where the memberberries are driving alone in a car and opened the trunk of the car with a hostage is a reference to a similar scene from "The Ungroundable". The Goth Kids seen are driving in Harriet Biggle's car and opened the trunk, showing Vampir gagged and tied.
  • The only differences are that the memberberry hostage is seen with a gag alone, and his death is seen onscreen. Vampir is shipped to Scottsdale, Arizona, and returns in "Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers" alive.
• The scene where Randy attempts to kill the member berries resulting in the other member berries observing the murdering process from the kitchen counter is a reference to the food massacre scene in the film, Sausage Party (2016).
• In MLKKK's house, there is a Black Ranger's helmet from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
• In MLKKK's house, there is a poster for Uniters of the Universe, which is a parody of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and features Marvel characters Groot and Rocket Raccoon.

• When Cartman has a flashback to watching the Ghostbusters (2016) film, clips from Season Twenty are seen.

Deleted Scene

• While Kyle is sitting on his bed, Gerald sees him and asks what is wrong. Kyle tells him about the crisis happening at school, but Gerald kindly but firmly, rudely tells him to "enlighten the fuck up." He sees this problem daily about Kyle being concerned too much, and all he ever wanted is to talk about something that is not worrisome. He leaves him by calling him a homo, which made Kyle confused.
