Denmark is a country in Northern Europe. It was first mentioned in the episode "Canada on Strike", and made its first appearance in "The Damned", having a major role in all of Season 20.

Background[]

"Canada on Strike"[]

Canada on strike 231

In "Canada on Strike" the Danish arrived in America as the replacement for the Canadians who were on strike.

They were the ideal replacements for the Canadians, because the Danish have both Canadian and American features, live in a country others can't find on a map, and are considered the Canadians of Europe. Similar to speakers of other Germanic languages, the couple speaks with a Germanic accent and uses the word "ja," which is the Danish word for "yes."

"Skank Hunt"[]

Freja Ollegard was a Danish athlete who was getting trolled by Skankhunt42 online after setting up a Danish breast cancer website having survived it herself.

"The Damned"[]

At first, she ignores the pictures of her with a penis photoshopped into her mouth but eventually commits suicide due to the trolling.

Following her funeral, Lennart Bedrager declares that the nation will bring down Skankhunt42 by revealing his identity which would hunt him down like their ancestors used to hunt mythological trolls.

"Wieners Out"[]

The method to do so is reported to be through something called TrollTrace.com. The news reporter says every internet comment can be run through the server where the name of the person who wrote it as well as their IP Address and location could be identified.

A simulation is shown with a comment pinged and the SWAT team is shown busting into the troll's house who left said comment. The CEO of the website is now being interviewed and says that a troll is behind a closed layer on the internet and that Trolltrace.com will break that layer. He says "Komme oot, troll. Komme oot und die". Dick says that the last part translates to "Come out troll come out and die".

"Douche and a Danish"[]

The Danish are singing and talking about the launch of TrollTrace.com. They ask for a donation and social media publicity. Following an attack by the combined forces of the Trolls, Denmark now has a very low public opinion. At the TrollTrace.com headquarters, the Danish try to think of ways to get past the low public opinion. One of them suggests quitting Twitter, as they decide that Denmark must get off social media to stop further attacks against them.

Eric and Heidi however send over a VHS tape, as Heidi says that she may have found the source of the troll attack. They tell everybody to come back, as Denmark may still have a shot to stop the trolls.
