The 1998 New Year's Countdown is a short skit created for Comedy Central featuring the South Park characters counting down to the New Year.
Characters that were seen include Jimbo Kern, Ned Gerblansky, Mr. Garrison, Officer Barbrady, Starvin' Marvin, Kyle, Ike, Stan, Jesus, and Cartman. After the countdown, the number 7 falls and kills Kenny.
This short came out at the December 31, 1997 at 11:59:49 EDT, possibly after "Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo".
Trivia[]
- This is the first New Year's countdown produced for Comedy Central. Two more were made for 1999 and 2000.
Kenny's Death[]
- Once the new year begins, a large "8" swoops in, making the "7" fall on and kill Kenny McCormick.
