Disneyland is a theme park located in Anaheim, California, which opened in July 1955. It was featured in the Season Sixteen episodes, "Raising the Bar" and "Obama Wins!". It reappeared in the Season Twenty-Four episode, "The Pandemic Special".
Background[]
Disneyland is the home of characters such as Mickey Mouse and the Jonas Brothers. They feature rides and stage shows based on Disney movies, as well as some with original concepts not based on any movie.
In "Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000", Romper Stomper says he has always wanted to see Disneyland. At the end of the episode, Cartman visits Romper Stomper in juvenile hall, and as a gift, defecates out all of Disneyland, which he had smuggled in by hiding it inside of his anus.
In "Casa Bonita", Kyle says that the titular restaurant is “the Disneyland of Mexican restaurants”; that is, widely regarded as one of the best and most expansive of its kind.
During a montage, Eric Cartman is shown going to Disneyland on the weekends to make himself feel better about his supposed shame, for being so obese he requires a mobility scooter to get around. He accuses the other patrons of discrimination against overweight people and taunts a disabled boy without legs in the Jungle Cruise line for not being overweight.
In "Obama Wins!", Disneyland is seen with many Star Wars-themed characters, such as stormtroopers, an AT-ST walker, and tie fighters. Eric Cartman is brought, forcefully, to Disneyland to talk to Mickey Mouse. Mickey interrogates Cartman about the missing election ballots and attempts to inform him about the merits of democracy.
Cartman relents and continues to keep the location of the ballots a secret. Convinced that Eric's help could be potentially helpful, Mickey attempts to bribe him with a lightsaber in the next Star Wars film. Mickey agrees, and Cartman agrees to release the ballots.
In "The Pandemic Special", Mickey Mouse calls Randy Marsh in a deserted Disneyland about sending a death threat to him. The Astro Orbiter, Space Mountain, Galactic Grill (written as "Space Grill"), Star Traders Merchandise Shop (written as "The Trader Mouse") from 'Tomorrowland', the Sleeping Beauty Castle from 'Fantasyland', Big Thunder Mountain Railroad from 'Frontierland' and Matterhorn Bobsleds from both 'Fantasyland' and 'Tomorrowland' as well as the Star Tours Structure and the CircleVision Building (from the Not Operating Rocket Rods Attraction and Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters) can all be spotted in the background.
