The satirical disclaimer for South Park appears at the start of most episodes just before the title sequence.
The disclaimer is an in-joke to the program. It references the facts such as the show using real life events and people as well as fictional.
The format of the disclaimer has been tweaked slightly over the past few years. It was designed in a different manner for the first two seasons along with half of the third. The disclaimer was later redesigned into a smarter format that is used today.
Even the video games use it, although slightly tweaked.
- Season 4's "Pip" and Season 5's "Butters' Very Own Episode" do not feature the disclaimer. The movie "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut" didn't feature it either.
