The Coon Lair is the home base for the Coon and Friends faction owned by Eric Cartman's superhero alter-ego, The Coon. It is situated at the basement of Cartman Residence.
Background[]
In "Coon 2: Hindsight", the Coon is having a meeting with the other Coon & Friends members after he claims to have stopped three murders. The Coon tells them that there has been a huge trend in crime and tells them to get to the source in South Park.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole[]
The Coon lair stays as the base for the Coon & Friends in the game, secured with a number lock. After The Battle for Kupa Keep mission, The New Kid is required to search Cartman's house to retrieve the passcode and gain access to the base for the first time.
By the end of the game, members of Coon and Friends join forces with the Freedom Pals, using the latter's base instead and leaving the Coon lair deserted. The Coon will remain in the base alone.
Appearance[]
In the Superheroes Saga, much of the base is decorated base on the appearance of the Coon himself. It has few features such as a holding cell, a computer desktop known as the "Coon-O-Vision", a whiteboard for photos of "Top bad guys" and a docking bay for the Coon's tricycle. The base is equipped with a warning system which plays the broadcast message "Coon and Friends alert! Alert, I'm seriously". Other props include an Antonio Banderas Blowup Doll dressed up as Superman.
The base was largely refurbished in "Franchise Prequel" and South Park: The Fractured But Whole. New features include a large briefing table at the center, a blackboard with movie plans for the faction, and a small shelf with Coon merchandise (known as the "Coon Store" where The New Kid can shop in). A "supercomputer" which was used as a prop in the Superheroes Saga is now "upgraded" with a computer tablet attached onto the "monitor".
In South Park: The Fractured But Whole, there is an interactive "Cube of Ultimate Destruction", made of a Rubik's cube encased in a glass covering. It is claimed from the Coon that if the cube is meddled with, it would result in the destruction of the entire galaxy. It is similar to the "Cube of Chaos" seen in Professor Chaos' possession in "The Coon".
