Trivia[]
- First appearance of Harrison Yates, but as an FBI agent instead of a Park County Police officer.
- MOOP is an acronym for "Matter Out of Place", referring to litter and garbage found in forests and beaches.
- The website Kyle, Kenny, and Stan download music off of is Napster, a peer-to-peer file-sharing service with an emphasis on audio file distribution. In 2000, Metallica filed a copyright lawsuit against them.
- Cartman's keyboard is seen to be playing itself, suggesting he is using pre-set songs.
- Gold, frankincense, and myrrh were the gifts given at Jesus' birth. Frankincense and myrrh are plants in Africa and the Middle East used for soap and perfume. Frankincense and myrrh were considered to be more valuable than gold in the Middle East during the Biblical Era and were used for funeral rituals.
- In real life, there is no such thing as a myrrh album, and it was made up specifically for this episode. Christian and inspirational music albums that sell a million copies go platinum, just like secular music.
- Bruce Howell's name appears crossed out with Cartman's name in the music sheet for the song "Needing You".
- While Faith + 1 is at a booth selling their album, Butters blurts out "We're not really Christian, we're just pretending we are!" However, Butters, Cartman, and Tolkien are all seen in the South Park Church at various times in the show. Butters could mean that he doesn't really believe in Christianity, or alternatively, it could be a reference to the idea that some Catholics will call themselves Catholic rather than Christian.
- Kenny has a background in Latin Jazz, Stan is Hip Hop R-and-B oriented, and Kyle has a preference for Fusion music.
- This episode was released on DVD before South Park: The Complete Seventh Season was released; the episode was featured as a bonus episode to the 2004 DVD The Passion of the Jew 2 years before the former DVD.
