"Celebration" is a disco song by the R&B group Kool & the Gang. The song was played in the Season Twelve episode, "Canada on Strike".
Background[]
When the United Nations negotiated with Stephen Abootman to end the strike, the Canadians cheered as this song was played in the background. After it was discovered by Terrance and Phillip that Stephen Abootman settled for less than they wanted, Stephen and his aides were exiled from Canada, and were sent off away in an Ice Drift (Steven can be seen as one of the suicidal Canadians in "Royal Pudding" however).
The song was later parodied in "About Last Night...", when Randy Marsh sang "Celebrate Good Obama".
Lyrics[]
Celebrate good times, come on
(Let's celebrate)
Celebrate good times, come on
(Let's celebrate)
There's a party goin' on right here
A celebration to last throughout the years
So bring your good times
And your laughter too
We gonna celebrate your party with you
Come on now
(Celebration)
Let's all celebrate and have a good time
(Celebration)
We gonna celebrate and have a good time
It's time to come together
It's up to you
What's your pleasure
Everyone around the world
Come on
(Yahoo) It's a celebration
