Buca de Faggoncini is an Italian restaurant in South Park that was first seen in the Season Nine episode, "Erection Day". It has been seen in a few episodes throughout the series whenever a 'fancy restaurant' was needed as a backdrop.

Background[]

In "Erection Day", Eric Cartman uses a two-way radio and headphones to tell Jimmy Valmer what to say on his date with Shauna, which ends in disaster. Jimmy returns a second time with a hooker named Nut Gobbler, believing he has to take her out to dinner. Her pimp shows up at the restaurant and attempts to claim his money from Nut Gobbler, claiming she is wasting time with Jimmy.

Main Quest[]

During The Bowels of the Beast, The New Kid and Captain Diabetes follow Classi through here, where they meet up with Coon and Friends. To get to Classi, they first have to fight through the chefs in the kitchens to get to the backroom. The backroom is blocked and "Diabetic Rage", the first buddy power, is unlocked. Once the group get to the backroom, they find Classi with the Mafia. The Mafia hold the two at gunpoint before Randy bursts in, drunk on red wine and demanding his keys back. Once the two fight him off, Classi agrees to go with the group.

Side Quests[]

A Fastpass flag can be found between Buca De Faggoncini and The Peppermint Hippo.

Trivia[]

  • The proper Italian spelling for the restaurant should be Buca di Faggoncini.
  • The name and exterior design of the restaurant are likely a reference to the real-life restaurant chain Buca di Beppo.
    • However, according to the Season Nine DVD commentary, the interior design of the Buca De Faggoncini restaurant is based on a different real-life restaurant chain, Romano's Macaroni Grill.
