Trivia[]
- The episode references Britney Spears' personal problems and the media scrutiny she faced in 2007 and 2008.
- The storage closet at the train station is the same as the one from "Cartoon Wars Part II".
- Paris Hilton, who appeared in "Stupid Spoiled W**** Video Playset", appears in the crowd at the MTV Music Awards, which could imply that she managed to escape Mr. Slave's ass that she got stuck in at the end of the said episode.
- Britney Spears previously appeared in "Christian Rock Hard" as one of the musical artists on strike due to the illegal download of their music. She's also referred to in "Stupid Spoiled W**** Video Playset"; in the titles of Season Seven; as one of Shelly's favorite artists; in an alternate scene for "Cherokee Hair Tampons" where Cartman notes that he will make her his love slave, paying her ten million dollars (with the money he would receive had Kyle paid him for his kidney); and in "AWESOM-O" when Cartman dresses as her.
- Though Kenny does not appear in this episode, his parents appear briefly near the end taking photographs of Britney with everyone else. The same also goes for multiple of the boys' classmates that do not appear in this episode.
- Cartman does not re-appear after the scene where Britney shoots herself, nor does Butters, the latter outside of a photo that Tracy shows later on.
- The woman who says "Come on, hurry up" while the crowd takes pictures of Britney Spears, is Thomas's mother who appeared in "Le Petit Tourette".
- The real Britney Spears was not fond of episode, even though the point was about defending her instead of mocking her. She was so upset, she once demanded that Family Guy make an episode the mocks South Park with her as a guest star. However, creator Seth MacFarlane refused due to not wanting to start a feud, especially since Trey Parker and Matt Stone deeply hate Family Guy already.
References to Popular Culture[]
