The Boy with Red Shirt has so far, only appeared in a dream sequence, in the episode "City on the Edge of Forever (Flashbacks)".
Background
He appeared on the school bus in a dream sequence in "City on the Edge of Forever (Flashbacks)". He was seen sitting next to DogPoo on the bus, suggesting that they may have been friends.
Death
When the bus was stranded, he left the bus because he didn't want to die with the rest of the students and promised to send help if he survived. However, he got killed by the Big Black Scary Monster. His remains were spat back onto the side of the bus, freaking out the rest of the students. In the subsequent messed up flashback of this scene, he still dies, but the students didn't care because the monster gave them ice cream afterward.
Since his only appearance on the show was in a dream sequence, it is possible that the character never existed in the first place.
Appearance
He is seen wearing a red shirt with black pants throughout the episode, based on the red shirts from Star Trek. He has short blond hair, similar to Gary Harrison's. His voice is similar to Craig's, albeit higher-pitched.
Trivia
- The character is a reference to Star Trek, where characters in red shirts are treated as expendable characters, and often die.
- His shirt has the Enterprise mission patch and Star Trek Commander rank markings on his sleeves.
- His death is a similar to the goat's death from Jurassic Park, where in the goat's leg is spat on to the Jeep after being eaten by a tyrannosaurs-rex.
