Background

Australia is a continent in the Southern hemisphere on planet Earth. Mentioned briefly by Jimbo in "The Mexican Staring Frog of Southern Sri Lanka" after confusing that country with the North American country of Canada. When seen for the first time in "Starvin' Marvin in Space" when the Ethiopian boy, Starvin' Marvin, flies the Marklar spaceship there trying to escape proselytizing white people and Christianity in his own country while hopefully finding a home for his people. The Australian welcoming committee believing Starvin' Marvin to be an alien from another planet called their country the "Planet of Australia" introduce him to more proselytizing missionaries. During the events of "Pinewood Derby" the president of Australia tried to blackmail the United States into sharing the space cash they stole from the perceived criminal Baby-Fark McGeezax with the rest of the worlds countries or they would tell the space police.

Trivia

  • It is assumed that most people in Australia resemble the crocodile hunter Steve Irwin or "Crocodile" Mick Dundee playing on stereotypes.
  • The episode featured John Howard as Prime Minister of Australia, even though he had been replaced by Kevin Rudd almost eighteen months earlier.
