Animals Close-Up With a Wide-Angle Lens was a show developed by Craig Tucker in the Season Eight episode, "Quest for Ratings". It rivaled Super School News, a show developed by Eric Cartman. The show featured animals close-up with a wide-angle lens.

Kenny McCormick was helping Craig because Cartman wouldn't let him be on Super School News, since apparently "poor people don't watch the news". Mr. Meryl said the show's first episode got a rating of 57 (57 students watched it), easily eclipsing Cartman's show. Craig later made a new show called Animals Close-Up With a Wide-Angle Lens Wearing Hats in response to Cartman's new show, Sexy Action School News.

It was later revealed that both shows were only getting good ratings because students were using cough medicine to get high.
