Contexte

Dans "L'Amour selon Cartman", le chanteur country Brad Paisley a chanté "Star-Spangled Banner" avant le match de basket-ball professionnel des L.A. Clippers contre les Denver Nuggets.

Dans "Rappel-baies", le gouvernement obtient J.J. Abrams pour redémarrer la chanson après que des sportifs de tout le pays aient décidé de ne pas chanter l'hymne national. J.J. Le redémarrage d'Abrams signifie que les gens peuvent s'asseoir, se lever ou s'agenouiller, ruinant ainsi le plan de Herbert Garrison qui était de ne pas écouter l'hymne national pour que Hillary Clinton devienne présidente.

Dans South Park: Post Covid: Le Retour du Covid, l'hymne est chanté alors que les garçons sont assis avant un match de basket au Pepsi Center.
