Les amis dans South Park: Le Bâton de la Vérité ne jouent aucun rôle dans le scénario et sont complètement facultatifs, mais plus Le Nouveau a d'amis, plus il a d'avantages. il peut débloquer. Par conséquent, il est fortement conseillé de se faire autant d’amis que possible. Il y a 119 amis en tout, 120 si l'on compte Clyde, mais les joueurs n'ont besoin que de 100 pour recevoir tous les points d'avantages disponibles dans le jeu. Vous aurez cependant besoin de tout si vous souhaitez obtenir le succès "Plus populaire que John Lennon". Les noms en italique sont des personnages qui peuvent facilement passer inaperçus dans le jeu. 7 amis sont obtenus dans la Forteresse de Clyde (y compris la recherche du Chinpokomon final), les joueurs doivent donc avoir 113 amis au total avant de commencer la mission finale s'ils souhaitent terminer le succès.
