I would like to become an admin on South Park Archives. I have been active on this wiki for the past 104 days and have been making both minor edits as well as creating articles for characters, locations, and songs that need them. I also helped out on a few seasons of the scripts project a few years ago. I want to be able to help out with this wiki as much as possible, and I think being an admin could allow me to do that. Tis a tradition that goes back to the good old days of 2016, the South Park Archives Group Photo!
Every year, users would submit a South Park avatar of themselves to the comments section below and in a few weeks, one of our skilled photoshoppers (me) would put all the avatars into a neat image.
This year is no different! Get creating your south park avatars ready for the picture!

Why remove rights
I have a philosophy that if you "retire" and do not return to the wiki to assist during our busy periods (like game releases and new seasons) you should not have Bureaucrat rights. I'm not saying these users are bad for not returning but I just think it's the right thing to do to be fair to everybody. Myself and the other admins put a lot of thought into this before the thread was made.
Returning Users
If any of those users who would lose B-Crat rights return and show an interest in helping out, of course, we'd be more than happy to return their rights to them that they worked hard for.

Welcome to the June edition of the State of the Wiki. In this post, I will cover major events on the wiki from the end of May. I also will share what's to come here on South Park Archives for the rest of the month.
General News
- The South Park Archives app is being phased out on iOS and soon on Android. It has been replaced by the FANDOM app. There's more information on that later in the post. We are working hard on getting everything fully set up for that app.
- We are planning to add Featured Videos to the following pages: Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Wendy Testaburger , Butters Stotch , Randy Marsh , Gerald Broflovski , Sheila Broflovski , Tweek Tweak , Craig Tucker , You Have 0 Friends , Trapped in the Closet , Doubling Down and Kenny Dies bringing the total number of Featured Videos on the wiki from 2 to 15. The success of Featured Videos on SPA was mentioned by FANDOM staff in This blog post!
- We are starting new projects soon, including a project to update old articles and clean up redundant files and legacy talk pages across the wiki.
- Last November, we conducted a survey for South Park Archives and the Discord. The survey proved highly successful to us and allowed us to get lots of helpful data. Our plan this year is to conduct two of them, one in June/July and November. I'll be sharing more information about our newest one in a few weeks so be sure to stay tuned!

Upcoming Projects on South Park Archives
Season 21 Reassurance Project (January to February) - In this project, we'll address anything missed during Season 21 on the wiki. Like Songs, Characters and Locations/ Objects.- Wiki Article Updating and Cleanup (In Progress) - In this project, we'll do phase one of a long overdue project to update grammar in articles as well as the content of articles. Phase 1 will include updating the following Character articles: All Main, Major, Significant, 5-9th graders, School Faculty, 1st-3rd graders, and 4th graders (A through L). We'll also expand any stubs and clean up some other areas of the wiki.
- Video Game Project (IN PROGRESS) - In this project, we'll work on adding new Fractured But Whole and Phone Destroyer content to the wiki, including missions, characters, locations and much more!
- Wiki Article Updating and Cleanup Part 2 (Summer 2018 -- July/August) - This project will cover the rest of the 4th graders and we also will give every character article from A-Z a look to see if anything needs to be updated, renamed, corrected or changed. We also will clean up/ fact check/ correct trivia pages, old talk pages, categories and other areas of the wiki (mostly behind the scene lines of code, sandbox pages, templates and forum posts). We will also make new articles during this time period if deemed necessary.
- Behind The Scenes content (Summer 2018 -- July/August) - In the project, we'll add behind the scenes content to trivia pages and episode galleries (some BTS content may also be added to episode pages. The project also gives us a chance to see if any episode pages or content in them needs to be updated like episode plots.)
- Episode Scripts Project/ Tabbed Infobox Project (Mid July to Late August) - We will finish long-standing projects on the wiki, like the Episode Scripts Project and Tabbed Infobox Project.
- Season 22 Preparation Project (Late August to September) - By then, we'll be working on preparing the wiki for the NEXT season of South Park.
- Keep in mind some of these projects may not exactly meet their due dates head on, but that's the goal here. These projects will cover a massive amount of pages, and the work may take longer than expected. (For example, both phases of our Wiki Article Updating and Cleanup project will cover over 1,174 articles and that's just character articles alone) so some delays are expected. All of these projects WILL be completed by the start of Season 22, however.

Hello everybody, HighJewElfKing here with more information about GDPR and the changes they will have on FANDOM and some changes we'll be making to our Discord following GDPR taking effect on Friday.
What is GDPR
GDPR, Also known as the General Data Protection Regulation is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union.
What does this mean for South Park Archives
FANDOM has updated their terms of use in preparation for this new law. In the new ToU, there are two important age changes for EU residents. "You confirm that you are 16 or older (applicable to users located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) excluding the U.K.) or 13 or older (applicable to users located in the rest of the world including the U.K.), and acknowledge that the Service is not intended for children under such ages, as applicable. You may not use the Service and may not accept the Terms of Use if you by law are barred from using the Service or accepting the Terms of Use.
In order to use certain portions of the Service (described in more detail in our Privacy Policy), you will need to first register on the Service. You must not register for membership in the Service where you are prohibited by law. In addition, the Service is intended solely for users who are:
In the EEA (excluding the UK), 16 or older; or In the rest of the world (including the UK), 13 or older."
What does this mean for you
- We are going to make age changes to the wiki and Discord in the interest of user maturity and also to ensure we are compliant with this law for those of you in the EU.
- You must be 16 years old or older to edit on South Park Archives.
- You must be 16 years or older to access our Discord.
- On our Discord for users verifying their account. You must also now disclose your CURRENT AGE.
- Users who are in our Discord or users who edit under the age of 16 will be allowed to stay at this time. However, if you are in the EU, you may have to be banned until you turn 16 but it is currently unknown if FANDOM staff would take action, or if we would take action.
- The age limit changes will be added in our Manual of Style and Rules shortly.
- As of right now, the 16 years old age limit does NOT affect people in the UK (unless you're on SPA).

Hello, everybody. This is a heads up that on May 25th, FANDOM will remove the Monobook skin from the entire network and it will no longer be available. This is due to new EU GDPR laws. On South Park Archives, nobody is likely to be impacted by this change unless of course you view South Park Archives in Monobook. If that is you somewhere out there, on that day you will be viewing the wiki in it's default Oasis skin. We expect no changes will have to be made as a result of this but we will monitor it closely after that day passes. For more information you can see the attached threads posted by FANDOM today, including how (if you're viewing or editing in a EU country) you'll be affected with privacy and tracking changes. - This month's post doesn't have a whole lot of new things going on, but we do have exciting news to share
- I'll start with that exciting news. A big WELCOME BACK to Cryptar! Cryptar has been on South Park Archives since 2011 and it's great to have him back.
- Congrats to our newest admin, Technical58CZ!
- Our Discord has a new channel for editors, a memes channel! Wanna join it? Just join the Discord and actively edit on South Park Archives!

- We also are looking at renovating our homepage. More details about how your input can help with that in our survey announcement post (expected very soon).
- Last November, we conducted a survey for South Park Archives and the Discord. The survey proved highly successful to us and allowed us to get lots of helpful data. General News
- We got a bunch of stuff going on, so be sure to read through the whole post to get a sense of what's going to happen from here.
- Most of you are aware that we've had a difficult past few weeks. The good news, however, is that things should be recovering over the next few weeks as we get things back on track.
- SpacemanDoug was demoted from administrator.
- PissCoveredOcelot and Jackstanbrah have retired from the wiki. I thank them for the work they've done here and wish them nothing but the best in the future.
- We got a new admin! Welcome SilasGreaves12 to the family!
- Last but not least, a big welcome back to Manic The Hedgehog! As we move out of these hard times, it's great to have one of the most experienced wiki editors (in my opinion) back to the South Park Archives family. Manic brings A LOT to the table and I'm looking forward to working alongside him and Jamesb1 and SilasGreaves12 to make this wiki the best it can be and fulfill our mission here at South Park Archives! Welcome back Manic!
- Finally, another big topic of discussion here lately is our Discord. Right now, I can confirm to all of you that we have halted our plan to kick out non-editors. Things may change, and I recommend our Discord users pay attention to the announcements channel for any possible changes. We also have redesigned our Discord with categories and added new channels for our editors. As always, we highly encourage our Discord users to contribute to the wiki in any way possible. Also, remember to keep things clean and think before you speak!

South Park Archives Discord Users!
Hello everybody, HighJewElfKing here with important information regarding the future of our Discord server. Since the introduction of Discord on the wiki with the server created by Manic The Hedgehog, and later on with the server created by myself. The Discord's goal has been a place for Editors AND Fans to connect. Late last night all of the wiki administrators met to discuss a variety of topics, with the Discord being one of the topics discussed. We all voted to ultimately return the server to its primary focus. Which is to have the server be primarily for our wiki editors.
What does this mean for Non-Editors?
We love South Park fans! After all, we're all here for South Park! We definitely want to make sure fans can be a part of our server. We are willing to have non-editors in our server (Up to 7 of them!) but they will have to be vetted by the admins before being allowed in first. For our current non-editors, because of this new change. NON-EDITORS will be kicked from the server tonight at Midnight (Mountian Standard Time).
But I like the server!
Again, up to 7 non-editors can apply to be in the server, after we've vetted you, you could just have a chance of being in the server! This number may change at some point but for now, that's what we're starting with.
Other Communication Options for Non-Editors
- If you still want to communicate with people at South Park Archives, you could check out Discussions! which is a great place to communicate about South Park.
- Otherwise, Fans of South Park Phone Destroyer can join the South Park Phone Destroyer server, located Here.
- You also could always edit on the wiki if you're interested in becoming an editor, and hit 70 edits, after being checked, we'd be happy to welcome you to the server!

I know many of you are disappointed by this announcement, however, we feel this is the best step to take to ensure South Park Archives remains the best place for South Park content. I'd like to thank all of you for being a part of the South Park Archives Discord and the South Park Archives community. We've truly appreciated your participation in the server the past few months. I know a lot of you have questions, and you can feel free to contact me on Discord by adding me as a friend HighJewElfKing#3482. You can, of course, ask me questions tonight on the server and on my Message Wall. On behalf of the South Park Archives Administration, I'd like to thank all of you dedicated fans for being a part of quite a special server and we hope we'll see you again in the future.
