the "end of obesity" special took me a bit by surprise with just how much kyle ended up helping out, and even leading in the effort to help cartman lose weight. but it serves as a good reminder that at the end of the day, these guys are all friends with each other, and no amount of hatred, or racism, or aids sharing, or girlfriend stealing, or banishing to a dark oblivion is going to change that fact.

...okay, i admit it's a little bit weird, but you know, kyle called cartman fat a bunch, so it evens out.

to me it makes sense because behind kyle's temper is someone who ultimately just wants to help people no matter who they are, and cartman is often in need of help ...usually due to his own choices, but still. kyle is not one to give up on anyone, and may even feel like he can influence cartman for the better in the long run.

meanwhile, we know from "smug alert" that cartman enjoys having someone he can argue with and push up against. butters might be more use to him as someone he can manipulate, but he can never have the respect for butters as he secretly has for kyle.

do you think of kyle and cartman's relationship as being friends, enemies, or both?

As of Trent Boyett only appearing in the episode Pre-School every 5 years the boys (stan, kyle, kenny and cartman) manage to do a crime and then blame him for it as of sending him back to jail for 5 years.

But when the boys ruins their friendship, if Trent Boyett gets out he dosent have them to take a revenge on.

I know his relationship with his new family seems genuine but Cartman is probably Jewish to spite Kyle.

(Yes, I do know that not everybody in the community likes Pip, this is just something that I wanted to say)

Not to disrespect anyone's opinions on anything, but why is he so popular in the South Park community? I honestly never understood it much. He didn't have much of a personality other than being that one kid in South Park that everybody hated.

Seriously, what’s the point of his entire existence in the show? To be an alcoholic douche and an aloof big brother to Kenny and Karen? *Facepalms.*

Does anyone have any tinfoil hat theories about parentage in this show?

Now i know in the real world, genetics isn't always this straight forward, but in fiction we generally expect kids to look somewhat similar to their parents. in "the list" we learn that kyle looks like his father but has his mother's nose, and of course he has sheila's hair color as well. stan and randy have matching hair, as does sharon and shelly, liane and eric, linda and butters, and so on.

What's interesting is when this isn't the case. some notable examples are:

• Tweek

• Kenny

• Bradley

• Henrietta

• Heidi

• Craig

with blonde haired kids, sometimes their hair is lighter when their young, and darkens a bit when their an adult. that might be what's happening with tweek and kenny, though it's interesting that kenny's siblings do just have their dad's hair color.

with the biggle family we know that bradley isn't their biological kid, and it's probably safe to assume that henrietta dyes her hair.

heidi's hair doesn't match her current parents, but she originally had different ones in season 4, and her hair matches her father's who died in "probably". I think it's reasonable to assume the parents she's had since then have been her adoptive parents.

That leaves us with craig who has black hair despite his parents having orange and blonde hair. My best guess is that craig is adopted, perhaps from peru. what are you guys' theories for craig or for any of the other characters?
