I didn’t realize Dobby1432 and da cat were the same person. It kind of makes sense now, though.
I can see why people like Craig, but Clyde has really grown on me throughout the past seasons. He’s had some funny moments where he just bursts out crying for no reason, which I think is cute. I’ve also grown to like Craig more ever since he got together with Tweak, as I feel their relationship shows a more sensitive side to his personality.
I really liked the “Black Friday Trilogy”. I just thought it was incredibly fun to watch.
I just realized that had Scott Malkinson not tried to intervene with the vaccinations through his “Lil Q’Ties” movement, Mrs. Nelson would probably still be alive. I guess even Scott has to pay the price for his little moment of impulse by having Mr. Garrison as his 4th grade teacher again. They do say every action has its consequence.
Butters is heavily implied to be the 5th main character, so it is likely that the boys do care about him at least to some extent. He certainly isn’t nearly as unpopular as he was in the early seasons and has gained a lot of social acceptance among his classmates overall. I personally think Scott Malkinson will become the new Butters, whereas Butters will eventually replace Kenny in his role among the four main boys. Although Kenny did play a larger role throughout the Vaccination Special, he still hasn’t been nearly as prominent of a character in the more recent seasons. I was honestly surprised he was even mentioned in this new episode at all. As for whether Wendy cares about Butters, I would say they are probably more like acquaintances at best. I’ve never seen them interact much or develop much of a bond throughout the series. Heidi Turner is probably on better terms with Butters at the moment than Wendy is, judging by their interactions back in season 20.
I think this is a great idea and a healthy way for fans to contribute to the wiki! I personally am an art lover myself, so I just might want to showcase a few of my original works myself. I admit that I don’t have the most sophisticated software to use at the moment, but Microsoft Paint will have to do for now.
@Cymoney so is Clyde Donovan, but that never stopped you from liking him.
@LizCrespo sadly though, not everyone on here thinks the way you do. It would be really nice if more people did.
@Paladin of Balance I agree that the way they handled the impact the pandemic has had on human relationships was realistic.
Butters is so adorable! I thought the way he was just randomly yelling and waving around the flag during the Vaccination Special was hilarious 😂 I think his reasoning for wanting to join the Lil Q’ties in the episode was also relatable. We all just want a reason to get out of the house and get back out there again.
I think her death was to be expected, considering her main role in the show was to serve as a temporary replacement for Garrison as he went through his Trump phase. Once Garrison lost re-election and was impeached, there was really no reason for Mrs. Nelson to remain a character in the series, so she was killed off and let go. I do think it was sad and unfortunate that she had to exit the series this way, but it was also obvious that Mr. Garrison would eventually come back one way or another.
@Dobby1432 thanks :) I still feel a little embarrassed over everything that has happened. @IdkAUsernameIGuess I appreciate the warm welcome! Don’t worry, I wasn’t referring to you in terms of the toxic people I had met. I think you seem like a nice person and always appreciate your insights.
@Fadingblizzardheart thank you!
@Sam Katawazi I think Wendy is a relatively popular character, which means that she will have a fair number of people that either really like her or hate her. It’s similar to what has happened with Kyle. Kyle is arguably one of the most prominent characters in the show as a member of the main 4 boys, which has given him a lot of complexity as a person through character development. The fact that Kyle is so multidimensional means that there are bound to be people who will form strong opinions on him, which is true of any character that is well-written.
The same thing can be said about Wendy, who is one of the few female characters with a defined personality along with Heidi. Like Kyle, Wendy is flawed and has many layers to her character, so she is going to trigger mixed reactions from many kinds of people.
There will be a large amount of people who will support and appreciate her character, yet there will always be a small percentage that chose to dislike her and hold a negative opinion of her. This is something that is inevitable when you are a part of a fandom. Everyone will have their own set of views and opinions, so it is best to just ignore the haters and simply love who you love.
There is no reason why you shouldn’t be allowed to like Wendy if you really enjoy her character. I personally am neutral in regards to Wendy, as I have never focused too much on her character, but have always thought she was one of the more likable girls and appreciated her confidence and strength.
@Sam Katawazi I meant to say Red, but I did kind of expect Wendy to get a more prominent role in the special too.
@Sam Katawazi I think you bring up a solid point in saying that the South Park adults have seemed to be getting more focus than the kids recently. I can understand where you are coming from and see why fans miss the more lighthearted episodes with plot lines centered on the kids. I think Scott Malkinson, Butters, and Kenny would make great friends and look forward to seeing them possibly form a little friendship group in the future, with Kevin Stoley possibly as a fourth addition. I was surprised Red didn’t get much of a prominent role in the special either, since the promos gave everyone the impression that she would at least have a speaking role.
@Sam Katawazi you’re welcome 🤗
@IdkAUsernameIGuess I think your ranking of each of the characters in terms of morality is very accurate, so I agree with them for the most part. Scott Malkinson’s alignment is supposed to be “Lawful Good” according to Fractured: but Whole, so it makes sense that you would put him in the great person category. Judging by the events of the recent episode, he seems to be the type of person who has a strong moral compass and wants to belong to something bigger than himself. I really liked seeing that new side to him and am glad he doesn’t just resign himself to being “the diabetic kid with the lisp” anymore. Kenny is also such a kind, sensitive soul and had some very endearing moments in the Vaccination Special. Butters is well, Butters. He’s probably the most innocent thing in this series, so I doubt he even has a bad bone in his body.
I don’t imagine anything will happen, considering they were never prominent characters in the series to begin with. Mrs. Nelson’s addition to the series was intended simply as a temporary replacement for Garrison as he went through his Trump era. Now that Garrison is back and has been impeached, there was no reason for Mrs. Nelson to continue her role in the series as the 4th grade teacher, so she was simply killed off and let go. I personally think the situation could have been handled more appropriately and that the town didn’t have to be so festive about it, but Mrs. Nelson’s time in the series is done.
@Sega&Nicktoons fan 3000 the Vaccination Special was decent, although not exceptional by South Park standards. I was honestly under the impression that Red and Butters would have more prominent roles within the episode and felt they had the potential to do so much more with the “Lil QTies”, although I am glad Scott Malkinson got a more screen time and had some focus on him. It was nice to get to know some of his personal interests, as I found it surprising that he likes to paint in his room.
I also felt Garrison’s sudden return to South Park as though nothing had happened was hilarious 😂 This just sheds more light into Garrison’s mental health issues and that his “Trump” persona was yet another of his many personalities. It was sad to see Mrs. Nelson die, which I found unexpected. The ending showing Garrison speaking in megalomaniac way in the classroom also provides an omen for the future episodes of the series. I wonder if QAnon will have a prominent role in the next big character arc in the series from here on, seeing as Tegridy Farms has begun to fade away a little bit.
