Hey guys. After watching Season 2's "Clubhouses" for the first time, I loved Bebe. Sounds pretty weird coming from someone who named their account "HeidiTurnerStan", right? Let me tell you my story.
"Clubhouses" has to be one of my favorite episodes of Season 2 and maybe even in my top ten favorite South Park episodes. All of the jokes hit their mark perfectly. Even the jokes about celebrities and TV shows made enough sense to give me a good chuckle when I first watched it February of this year.
I thought the plot where Bebe is trying to get with Kyle was the most interesting part of the episode. Bebe didn't really do anything notable except for helping Wendy deal with Ms. Ellen. Now in Season 2, she's after Kyle for his "hot ass". That instantly got my attention because I'm not a huge Stendy fan (but I still enjoy them) and there's a new romance supposedly forming with another main character. Bebe pursuits Kyle the entire episode in hilarious ways. My favorite part of the episode is when Bebe tries to pass a love letter to Kyle but Stan gets caught with it. Mr Garrison forces Stan to read "his note" for Kyle. It says this:
"Dear Kyle.
You have got such a great ass.
I could sleep for days on those perked cheeks, let me tell you.
I'd like to live with you and wear your ass as a hat for all eternity."
I saw this scene and couldn't stop laughing. After that, I loved Bebe.
I always looked forward to her appearances in every episode after. I thought it was a bummer that she didn't get with Kyle, but I knew there was going to be more Bebe after that episode. I kept waiting and it really paid off when I saw "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society".
"Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society" was a great episode. It was all I wanted: an episode all about Bebe. In the episode, all the boys are attracted to Bebe's boobs which caused a lot of issues. It was interesting to learn more about her family, see how she interacted with other characters and how much she affected the boys in her class.
But after that, Bebe returned to being a supporting character. She didn't have much screen time except for a few lines and small interactions with other characters. I slowly and gradually started to lose interest in her. Her role in "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset" was only mildly interesting to me by the time I watched it.
Around this time a certain character you all know I love started to become more prominent. Heidi Turner got my attention in "Marjorine". Heidi was a background character in earlier seasons, but now she has been built up to be one of Wendy's friends in Season 9. Although Bebe was at the party too, I was more interested in the way Heidi was being presented in this episode. As you all know now, the rest is history.
In summary, I liked Bebe a lot in earlier seasons. She got more and more screen time until it peaked at "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society" and then had a slight decrease in her usually consistent appearances in later seasons. I think Heidi took the spotlight for Seasons 9 and onward but I still love Bebe and her part in the awesome episode "The List". Heidi is my favorite female role but I won't ever forget how Bebe took my heart. Thank you all and goodnight.
