Do you think that in the episode 'The List' that there shouldn't have been any corrupt voting and that girls actually thought Kyle was the ugliest kid in school. That Stan and Wendy think there is a conspiracy and they investigate but it turns out there is none and that Kyle needs to accept it. Kyle being reassured that he isn't the ugliest boy in school kinda undermines any message about looks and shallowness for me because now the message is no longer 'looks don't matter' because Kyle doesn't need to worry about it as much since he isn't the ugliest boy

It wouldn't really make sense that Cartman would be above Kyle, though. The set up was kind of there from the start.
Idk. Maybe the girls just find Cartman more attractive (they like Kyle more because he is a better person but they find Cartman more attractive). I don't think it is that much of a stretch
It's a good question. i think it's worth pointing out that lincoln's message is different from kyle's message at the end; lincoln says that beauty is the real curse and that kyle should just be patient and deal with being an ugly outcast until it pays off. kyle on the other hand says that knowing how beautiful or ugly you are is the real curse, which is why they choose to burn the real list.
i think kyle's message resonates well with the way him, clyde, butters, and cartman all changed their behavior based on how they perceived their rank on the list, not on how people were treating them like in the way lincoln was framing it. the girls' conspiracy adds to this by exposing the list as a set of instructions on who to be cool to and who to be lame to, and for their plan to be successful, it meant that the other girls were following those instructions regardless of who they thought was hot.
@Mrpetuski Bebe, Red, Lola and Jenny forged the fake list in order to get free shoes from Clyde.
