When "Bass to Mouth" came out in S15, I told like a dozen people I felt it should be two episodes and everyone thought I was crazy. Trey and Matt say on the commentary it felt like it should've been two shows and the theme didn't pan out. I agree. So much of what is in the episode is great and I appreciate the fast pace but the Animal Ghost stuff feels absolutely crammed and out of like nine kids present almost none of them get distinctive dialogue. The Cartman stuff is entertaining but there was more to do with it. Definitely two episodes.

I'd also say really strongly "Nobody Got Cereal?" just felt like an absolutely garbage follow-up to "Time To Get Cereal". It just feels like they're stalling for fifteen minutes to get to the last five planned ahead. I feel like a lot of the stalling undermines what made the previous episode work so well - the sense of urgency, the apology, etc. all get kind of swept under the rug. 'When Should I Begin to Worry?' feels like a hypocritical joke without self-awareness, the Al Gore stuff is so on the nose that MBP's debut looks subtle now, and a lot of possible character moments - Satan's death, Grandpa's involvement - just feel really... impersonal?

There's more examples like that but those two come to mind quickly.

I'd say pretty much every storyline in season 20.

Season 20 would have been great if they had been able to have Garrison come back and bring the kids together as originally planned. :(

The issue of automation is a real issue, and a more honest way of tackling it would of been to use self-checkouts at stores, ordering kiosks at restaurants, self-driving vehicles, etc. but instead they used... Alexa. Who is losing their jobs to Alexa? And the people who complain about automation are not just rednecks either. I know that the "they took our jobs" bit is a classic joke but come on. Overall a bad take on an important issue.
