Early on, Kenny was the perverted boy who died all the time and while he had plenty of kind, heroic moments he could be just as callous and selfish as the other boys in some episodes and this is best exemplified in the NAMBLA episode.
The Vaccination special kinda contradicts his already established characterization by making him an innocent, vulnerable kid who gets easily upset when his friends fight?? What happened to the Kenny who used to be tough and badass in spite of his shyness and outer kindness? Idk but seems like he was acting too much like Early Seasons Butters as the worst thing Kenny has done was pranking the boys’ teacher in this special and they had to make Cartman a nice guy who cares about their friendship(?) despite the fact that the former was rarely even considered a good friend to Kenny or anyone in the show, I’m sorry but seems like Trey Parker is so obsessed with his divorce to the point he’ll ruin the characters’ core personalities solely to make a plot point that wasn’t necessary at all.
