The only south park season 3 episode i disliked was spontaneous combustion
"Jakovasaur", "Jewbilee" and "Starvin Marvin in Space".
Tweek vs Craig
"Jakovosaurs" is one where clearly they're goal was to create something that was as annoying as possible, and well, they definitely succeeded. it also doesn't help that this is the one where ned is burping throughout it. the "fine, just fine" guys were great, but not enough to redeem the rest of it.
"jewbilee" is almost just as bad only because it's kinda boring without stan, cartman, or butters around.
"Spontaneous combustion" and "the succubus" also weren't all that great. i think cartman is funniest when he thinks he's succeeding or when he gets put in his place at the end of an episode that he spent succeeding in. these plots where he's just being tormented throughout tend to interest me less.
The last one i'll bring up is "tweek vs craig". it's one where i don't really mind each of the plots separately, but the episode ends up feeling very disjointed with them all sqeezed in together. there's really no reason the tweek and craig plot needed the setting of a shop class at any point. they really could have easily written the tweek vs craig fight as one episode, and all the mr. adler and kenny stuff as another episode.
Overall i didn't like the first half of the season very much, but the second half was great, and the movie (which ought to count as part of season 3) is the best goddamn movie i've ever seen.
What do you think?
