For me it's easily the whole Tegridy Farms arc. Honorable mentions are: PC Babies, Heidi and Cartman's relationship, and also ManBearPig (idk why I just don't like him).

Tegridy
Gerald being Skankhunt42, the love triangle of Heidi, Kyle & Cartman, PC Babies as well, Cartman trying way too hard to humiliate Kyle & Butters and I don’t like ManBearPig either.
I think 'changes' rather than 'additions' is the word you're looking for?
I thought PC Babies were driving a joke into the ground; I thought part of what made PC Principal a little interesting is the college frat boy thing was really new ground for the show, and it was different for the PC stereotype to be a buff adult man rather than a wimp, a woman, or a child... now he's just another dad and his kids are the less creative and far more obvious 'snowflake' stereotype. It feels like it absolutely kills the joke it's meant to represent.
Crunchy's Micro-Brew is an easy example for similar reasons - it's first set up as a PC college bar, which seemed to differentiate smartly from Skeeter's Bar being more of a redneck place, but post-gentrification, we actually see the rednecks at Crunchy's MUCH more often and it's where the PC babies complain and find problematic content in their episode, too. It was made redundant almost immediately.
I'd also say I'm confused why Trey has introduced several new doctor characters since the 12th season and nearly abandoned the old Dr. Doctor/Dr. Gauche, who has only appeared two or three times since the 200th episode. Should have just kept adding depth to the familiar character. I understand maybe wanting a second doctor but we have a dozen now, none of them very precise, and almost all voiced by Trey.
There's quite a few super minor characters - Darryl Weathers, like the random hunter in "#REHASH", the new priest in "Sexual Healing", the cattle ranchers from s15 on - that feel like Trey needed one of Matt's characters (Skeeter, Jimbo, Maxi, Denkins) but Matt was busy so he created someone new to fill the same niche.... but in Skeeter's case, he fell out of his traditional role as the token redneck conservative to become one of the 'dads', and Denkins disappeared completely.
Sophie Gray. I know a lot of people might disagree with me on this, but she literally came at last minute towards the end of season 23 and was a blatant Mary Sue. Her introduction felt out of nowhere and her overall characterization felt a little unrealistic, especially as every boy in the school seemingly developed a crush on her for no reason. I get the point of having her serve as a more confident, attractive counterpart to Scott who could teach him about his self-worth and also like the idea of him having a new friend, but Sophie’s introduction felt kind of unnecessary.
The fact that even Pete (Hair-flip goth) of all people showed an interest in her just proves how unrealistic she is. If anything, I think Trey and Matt were just running out of ideas and somehow felt that just as every other boy in the school had a girlfriend, it was time to give Scott Malkinson a random new love interest too. Then again, I can kind of see how they were building up to the events of Basic Cable throughout the season with all the “spin-offs”, but the hype Sophie receives from both the fans and the creators is completely unnecessary.
At this point, even Heidi Turner is more relatable than Sophie Gray is to me because at least she has flaws and depth to her character. I do agree that the love triangle between Heidi, Kyle, and Cartman back in season 21 wasn’t really necessary however. And why did they have to add the PC babies?
Tegridy and PC babies.
They overused tegridy, but i don't hate it as a concept. i was never really that into the randy plots before he got tegrified as he had just become a knock off homer/peter griffin. plus i think there's still more potential here for stan story lines as he deals with isolation.
The pc babies are more annoying to me, taking more away from the pc characters they had than what they were adding in new ones. babies are also just annoying generally.
Hiedi x cartman, skank hunt, basically everything else from season 20 would have been fine if they just got 1 or 2 episodes, but yeah, no. way too overused. serialization and south park just don't mix that well.
I'm not sure where you're drawing the line at mbp, season 22 is not the first time he shows up, and i'm not sure if you're including the "manbearpig" of season 10 which was one of the greatest episodes. the recent mbp episodes did feel a bit dry for me, but i wouldn't have said it was because of mbp.
one character i haven't seen anyone else talk about, but i don't really like all, is cartman's cupid me. i don't like when cartman acts all 'cute', and cupid me just just adds more of that. and the ending scene of tweek x craig is definitely not something we needed to see.
Heidi and Cartman.... :( I hate opinions
(sigh) do i need to say it?
I do have something to say about President Garrison, he actually did set the pangolin on fire and he nuked Canada. I mean, I’m glad that the President Garrison arc is over.
And same with the broship breaking up, I was actually disappointed when I was watching the vaccination special.
What do you think?
